Liliana, the Latinate form of Lillian and elaborated form of Lily, is derived from the Latin word lilium, referring to the lily flower. It can also be a combination of the names Lily and Anna, giving it the meaning "graceful flower" or "favored flower." Liliana first appeared in the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 for birl names in the 1970s, but didn't crack the top-500 until 1989. It has seen a lot of growth since and recently entered the top-100 for the first time in 2022 after spending 17 years in the top-200. It's also the name singer Mollie King and cricketer Stuart Broad chose for their daughter Liliana, born in 2025.
