“Nothing can prepare you for this."
Jen Affleck is reflecting on a pregnancy she’ll never forget.
The 26-year-old MomToker, who stars in the Hulu series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” took to Instagram on June 30 to open up about her third pregnancy with husband Zac Affleck.
In the caption, she described the past nine months as “one of, if not, the most impactful times” of her life.

“A pregnancy I’ll never forget — one filled with surprise, hope, fear, and just about every other emotion possible,” Jen Affleck wrote alongside a photo dump of memories from the pregnancy.
“This journey taught me that it’s okay to not be okay and, more importantly, that it’s okay to ask for help,” she added in the caption.
Jen Affleck announced her “surprise” pregnancy exclusively with People in February. She then announced the birth of her third baby on Wednesday, July, 2.
"Baby Penelope is here (and) she is perfect," Affleck wrote on Instagram.
"Going unmedicated was truly the most painful but empowering experience of my life. I could not have done it without Zac and my supportive doula! I’m so grateful and so happy that Penny is earth side now."
The reality star already shares two kids — daughter Nora, 3, and son Lucas (who goes by Luca), 1 — with Zac Affleck, whom she has been married to since 2019.
In her recent update, Jen Affleck reflects on the many emotions that defined her third pregnancy.
“It began with the pain of saying goodbye to my grandma, someone I loved so deeply. Her death marked loss, but also a much deeper realization of needed change,” Jen Affleck wrote in the caption.
“The coming months were filled with ups and downs. Countless therapy sessions, long nights in prayer, journaling, and some really hard conversations with myself, Zac and those around me,” she added.
Jen Affleck’s comments come one month after Hulu released the second season of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” which documents her and Zac Affleck’s journey through couples therapy.
According to People, the couple were separated before announcing the pregnancy and started the new season living apart from each other.
“As mothers, we pour so much into others that we forget to care for ourselves, but you can’t pour from an empty cup,” she wrote in her June 30 Instagram post.
“I learned to lean on therapy, Zac’s support, the love of those closest to me, and my relationship with God,” she added.
Despite the struggles, Jen Affleck describes motherhood as “the greatest gift God can give” before adding that she “can’t wait for this next chapter” of her life.
Zac Affleck shared a similar sentiment in the comment section.
“I love you. And will always fight for you. Now time for a very happy exciting chapter to begin,” he wrote.
Jen Affleck says she went into labor during nail appointment
Jen Affleck’s update came just a few days after her viral moment at a nail salon.
On June 28, the MomToker shared a “current update” of herself as she went into labor in the middle of a nail appointment. According to a hashtag, Jen Affleck was 39 weeks pregnant at the time.
“POV: you start having contractions at your nail appointment,” she wrote in a text over the video.
Jen Affleck, who was shown timing her contractions with an app on her phone, was asked how she was feeling, to which she replied, “I’m feeling… great!”
“I’m in labor right now,” she said while talking on the phone.
The rest of the video shows Jen Affleck receiving a cervical check, among other exams, in the middle of the nail salon — which was met with mixed reactions from her followers.
“The cervical check on the floor made my whole body clench,” one user commented.
“Going into labor at the nail salon …. This feels like the perfect chick flick movie,” another fan joked.
“I was 99.9 percent sure you guys were pulling a prank on me,” Zac Affleck added in the comments.
Other commenters were more interested in the baby’s timing.
“Diabolical, like baby, how dramatic , you couldn’t wait till I had my full set done?!” a third user wrote.
“Ok so sprinting DOES induce labor, noted,” another fan commented — referencing a separate video Jen Affleck posted the day prior.
On June 27, the MomTok star posted a video of her and her husband, who was wearing a watermelon disguised as a pregnant belly, sprinting through a field together.
“POV: you saw that sprinting can induce labor,” Jen Affleck wrote in the caption.
More recently, it was announced that Jen Affleck was the latest “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star to join the cast of “Dancing With the Stars” for season 34.
