New details emerge in the death of influencer Emilie Kiser and Brady Kiser’s 3-year-old son Trigg

Ryan Brennan | August 12, 2025

Police have released an updated timeline regarding the death of Emilie Kiser’s 3-year-old son Trigg.

In a redacted report released by the Chandler Police Department (CPD) on Aug. 8, authorities revealed what Trigg was doing at the time of his death and why he was left unsupervised outside near a pool.

The report also suggests that there were discrepancies between Emilie Kiser’s husband Brady Kiser's first interview on May 12 and his second interview on June 16.

According to CPD, which cited video evidence, Trigg was left unsupervised for more than nine minutes and spent around seven of those minutes inside the family pool before being found by Brady Kiser.

The new evidence is inconsistent with what Brady Kiser told local authorities earlier this year.

The father of two had previously said that he lost sight of his son for three to five minutes before finding him floating in the pool, according to a search warrant application obtained by USA Today in June.

"Brady's statements do not match what is seen on the video,” the report says of the evidence. “He did not accurately describe one thing [Trigg] did after he went outside.”

“This leads to the conclusion that Brady was not aware of what [Trigg] was doing and was not watching him,” CPD continued.

Brady Kiser was watching NBA game at time of son’s death

The report also claimed that Brady Kiser had placed a $25 bet on an NBA game around the time of Trigg’s drowning.

Brady Kiser was allegedly watching that NBA game while feeding his newborn son when he let Trigg outside to play alone.

It wasn’t until he saw their family dog standing over the pool that he realized something was wrong.

According to the report, Brady Kiser had a “poor feeling” when he noticed the dog’s unusual behavior and said “it was out of the ordinary to see him standing there looking in the water as he was.”

This new information is also inconsistent with Brady Kiser’s previous statements.

According to TMZ, Brady initially told police that he was outside with Trigg when the boy drowned.

Brady Kiser was pressed by CPD about these discrepancies during their second interview in June.

Brady Kiser will not face charges in his son Trigg’s death

Despite the inaccuracies, Brady Kiser maintained that he was doing his best to recall “anything and everything.”

"I truly have nothing that I'm trying to withhold or hide in any way, shape, or form. All I've ever tried to do is recount, to the best of my ability, what occurred,” Brady Kiser told police, per the report.

The report concluded that Brady Kiser’s “attention was divided” while his son was playing outside, but clarified that “he acted immediately” once he noticed something wasn’t right.

Brady and Emilie Kiser’s son died in the hospital on May 18, six days after the drowning occurred, per People. In July investigators recommended that Brady Kiser be charged with a Class 4 felony charge of child abuse.

That recommendation was dismissed in July, according to a press release by Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell. As a result, Brady Kiser will not be charged in the tragedy.
