“Isla, you are the peace, the joy, the evidence of God’s grace, the link of heaven and earth.”
Cardi B is finally setting the record straight after weeks of pregnancy rumors.
During an interview with CBS Mornings, which aired Sept. 17, the 32-year-old rapper — whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar — confirmed what many fans have been speculating since August.
Cardi B and her boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs are expecting their first child together.
In the interview, Cardi B said that she’s “excited” and “happy” to welcome her fourth child and joked that her fans better buy her new album, which releases on Sept. 19, so she can “buy Pampers and diapers.”

“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work,” she told Gayle King. “But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
Cardi B also shouted out Diggs, who she said was “very supportive” of her as she enters this new era.
“I feel like we’re really great and one of the best at what we do,” she said of the couple’s respective careers — adding that they “think the same way” as one another.
“We’re never, like, comfortable. We just want to keep doing it and that’s just how we both are,” she said.

Cardi B’s pregnancy announcement comes one week after she opened up about wanting more kids during a sneak peek of her interview on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” which aired Sept. 15.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper already shares three kids — Kulture Kiari, 7, Wave Set, 3, and Blossom Belle, 11 months — with her ex-husband and fellow rapper Offset, according to People.
Cardi B and Offset started dating in 2017 and tied the knot later that year before finalizing their divorce in 2024, per the outlet.
Cardi B reveals why she waited to announce her baby news
Cardi B has been dodging pregnancy rumors ever since things started heating up between her and Diggs.
She eventually addressed those rumors on Sept. 2 as she was walking out of a Los Angeles courtroom — when a reporter asked her to comment on the speculation.
“Stop disrespecting me,” she said to the journalist before throwing a pen at him, per E! News. “You’re disrespectful. Don’t do that.”
“Do you see women asking those types of questions to me?” she continued. “Why do you feel, as a man, you get to ask me those types of questions?”
Cardi B told the journalist to “act like you have some manners” and “respect women” before entering an SUV.

Now that the news is out, Cardi B is opening up about her decision to hold off on the baby announcement.
“I just was like, ‘Can I just say it on my own time?’” she told Gayle King on Sept. 17. “I’m not hiding. Like on my own terms. Let me close some deals first.”
She went on to explain that she hadn’t even told her parents yet — something she planned on doing before her interview aired — and wanted to “see a couple more sonograms” before telling the world.
She also confirmed that her parents are fond of her new boyfriend, even though she felt “vulnerable” going through the dating process following a “messy divorce.”
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, have been linked since May, per Billboard.
