“Nobody talks about how freaking hard it is to name a baby."
Parents have a never-ending list of baby names to choose from when welcoming a child into the family.
But sometimes it’s just easier to pick one and roll with it.
On July 21, Carolyn Cousin — who shares six children with her husband Cameron Butts — took to her TikTok account to clear a few things up about her children who all have a similar name.
That’s right — the couple are parents to daughters Camryn, 9, and Carmyn, 4, and sons Cameron, 8, Camreon, 6, Cam’Ron, 2, and Camarion, 7 months.

Her viral TikTok video was meant to “save a little confusion,” but only ended up adding to it.
“We named our kids the same name,” Cousin said in the clip. “Yes, they sound alike, but only two of them have the same name. So, let me help you out.”
She went on to explain that they thought they would be “one and done,” so they decided to give their first child — a daughter — the same name as her husband.
So, they went with the more feminine form of Cameron, Camryn.
“Then, one year later, here comes this boy,” she said pointing at a photo of her oldest son. “And we’re like, ‘You know what, we gotta have a junior.’ So, we did Cameron Jr.”

Their next son was named Camreon (pronounced kam-REE-awn), while their third son Cam’Ron is pronounced KAM-rahn and fourth son Camarion is pronounced kuh-MAHR-ee-ahn.
Their second daughter — fourth in line — is the only one who doesn’t have a name that starts with CAM.
“Hope that clears up the confusion,” she said at the end of the video. “That’s our six-pack.”
According to Behind the Name, Cameron comes from a Scottish surname meaning “crooked nose.”
And all but one of her six kids' names were used at least five times in the U.S. in 2024.
Cameron was given to 4,817 baby boys and 628 baby girls, while Camryn was given to 688 baby girls and 100 baby boys, per the Social Security Administration.
Camron was given to 94 baby boys, Camarion was given to 12 baby boys and Carmyn was given to 27 baby girls. Camreon was the only one left off of SSA's 2024 data.
TikTok is having a hard time believing her baby names are real
As is common on social media, TikTok users were quick to express their opinions in the comment section.
“Still confused why you would do this,” one TikTok user wrote.
“You carried all these children and the man gets the first and last name,” another one joked.
“There are enough names in this world that no one in the same family should have to share one with their siblings. This should be illegal…” a third user commented.
One person joked that the baby name Aquaman “isn’t so bad” compared to what Cousin did — referring to popular YouTuber Trisha Paytas naming her baby boy Aquaman.
Other users were quick to compare her baby name choices to that of late boxing legend George Foreman’s children.
For those who don’t know, Foreman had five sons and five daughters, according to Today.com. His five sons were George Jr., George III, George Foreman IV, George Foreman V and George Foreman VI.
He also named one of his daughters Georgetta.
In an interview with Today.com, Cousin said she and her kids were baffled at the backlash they received.
“Girl Camryn even looked at TikTok and was confused by the comments,” Cousin told the outlet. “She always says to me, ‘We love our names.’”

She went on to joke that her kids “know exactly who I’m talking to” when she says their names.
