“Nobody talks about how freaking hard it is to name a baby."
Move over Walt — there’s a new Disney in town.
On Oct. 4, influencers Aubree and Josh Jones — who are known for giving their kids unique baby names — announced the birth of their seventh child after what they described as a “LONG weekend.”
“Her labor was start and stop for a week. It was the hardest birth I’ve had by far! It was such a sacred and special experience,” Aubree Jones wrote in an Instagram announcement at the time.
“We’re planning to announce her name early next week after we recover,” she added in the caption.
That big reveal came two days later on Oct. 6 — and she didn’t disappoint with the name they chose.
“We’re so excited to welcome this sweet little baby into our home. We’re all smitten and so in love. It’s been truly magical having her. Here’s to our family’s happily ever after!” she wrote on Instagram.
In the video, Aubree’s newborn baby is swaddled up next to a stuffed Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh.
“Welcome to the world… Disney Mae Jones,” Aubree wrote in a text overlay.
“We’re a Disney family,” Aubree said in an interview with Today.com, published Oct. 7. “She fits that spirit of happiness and magic. I felt it throughout my entire pregnancy.”

The baby name reveal comes after three weeks of having her followers guess the name they chose.
The first clue was released on Sept. 18 when Aubree, Josh and their six kids dressed up in different Disney outfits as they danced to the once-viral “Harlem Shake” song.
Six more clues followed — including the fact that the name only uses letters found in their six kids’ names and that it corresponds with one of their “favorite places on Earth.”
On Sept. 20, Aubree revealed the five names they considered but didn’t choose — Teddy, Winnie, Desi, Hinckley and Davy.
Aubree and Josh Jones are also parents to Trendy, 13, Zaylee, 10, Sunny, 9, Truly, 7, Journey, 3, and Rocky, 22 months, per Today.com.
Aubree and Josh Jones were destined to name their baby Disney
In an Oct. 7 Instagram video, Aubree admitted that she had “multiple confirmations” that Disney was the right name for her baby girl.
“From a shooting star while in labor to seeing her name in the scriptures…with a little dyslexia,” she wrote in the caption. “This baby is so sweet, so special, so magical and Disney Mae is the perfect name for her.”
Aubree elaborated on those confirmations while talking to Today.com.
For starters, their daughter Journey started calling the baby Disney just a few weeks into the pregnancy — though they originally thought she was saying “Dizzy.”
Then, while in labor, Aubree stepped outside for some fresh air when she saw a shooting star.
She told Today.com that she immediately thought of the song “When You Wish Upon a Star” from the Disney animated film “Pinocchio.”
While they considered other D girl names (such as Daisy), the family ultimately settled on Disney.

According to Behind the Name, Disney comes from a surname meaning “from Isigny,” referring to a small town in the Normandy region of north-western France famous for its dairy products, such as butter.
Believe it or not, Aubree and Josh Jones aren’t the only parents to name their baby Disney.
According to the Social Security Administration, Disney has been given to at least 19 baby girls since 2020, including seven in 2020, six in 2021 and six in 2024 — but less than five in 2022 and 2023.
In a 2024 interview with Today.com, Aubree opened up about her love for unique baby names.
“We want our children to be different — we want them to stand out,” Aubree told the outlet. “Like with Trendy — we want her to get out there and start her own trends and do her own thing.”
“When people ask, ‘Why don’t you give them regular names?’ I’m like, I don’t want my children to be regular,” she continued.
