Kate Gosselin isn’t hiding behind the rumors any longer.
The 50-year-old nurse and former reality TV star, best known for her time on “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” took to TikTok and Instagram on Nov. 8 to share the 10 things she’s “obsessed with” about her life today.
Her eight kids were first on that list, but it’s the second item that has everyone talking.
“My boyfriend,” she wrote above two photos of her and her former bodyguard Steve Neild.
According to E! News, Neild “provided security services to the Gosselin family between 2008 and 2014.”
The video confirmation comes less than two months after Kate Gosselin accidentally revealed her boyfriend’s name in a TikTok video from a hospital bed after breaking her leg.
“Steve are you…” she began to say in the Sept. 30 video before stopping herself. “Oops.”
“I knew that was gonna happen,” she added.

Kate Gosselin had previously revealed that she had been dating someone for over a year during a Sept. 22 TikTok Live, per People, but it wasn’t until her slip-up that she confirmed her boyfriend’s name.
Just a few days later, Kate’s ex-husband Jon Gosselin — whom she shares eight kids with — alleged that an affair between Kate and Neild is what led to their divorce in 2009, according to E! News.
Collin Gosselin, one of the couple’s sextuplets, also shared his thoughts about the alleged affair.
“What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard back in 2009,” Collin wrote in an Instagram Story on Sept. 25, according to E! News.
“And for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in the connected room,” he added. “Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”
Jon and Kate Gosselin share eight kids — 24-year-old twins Madelyn and Cara, and 21-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.
The family rose to fame in 2007 with the release of their reality show “Jon and Kate Plus 8” on TLC.
The show was later renamed “Kate Plus 8” in 2010 following Jon and Kate Gosselin’s divorce the year prior. The show aired for 11 seasons (174 episodes) before coming to an end in 2017.
The internet doesn’t know what to think about Kate Gosselin’s boyfriend
It didn’t take long for the internet to share their opinions about Steve Neild and Kate Gosselin.
While the rest of Kate’s video shined a light on her dogs, traveling, friends, pizza, lattes, health, recovery and boating, her followers couldn’t get over all the controversy surrounding the relationship.
On one hand, followers were quick to side with Jon and Collin Gosselin.
“Wait - so Jon was right about the bodyguard? I thought he was just making stuff up back then!” one Instagram user commented.
“lol we all knew you were with Steve… his poor wife,” a second Instagram user wrote.
On the other hand, others were happy to see that she was happy — and urged her to continue living her life.
“I’m glad you’re finally sharing your boyfriend, live your life you only get one!” one follower wrote on TikTok.
“So happy you and Steve are together. you make a beautiful couple and can tell he cared so much for you,” another TikTok user wrote.
