“Nothing is planned, not even this.”
Ray Romano’s family is preparing to get a little bit bigger.
The 67-year-old comedian and actor, best known for his role as Raymond "Ray" Barone on the CBS sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” is finally getting his wish as his first grandchild is on the way.
On Nov. 10, his eldest child — Alexandra Romano, 34 — revealed her baby bump for the first time.
“The bikini has never looked better,” Ally wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, which included a series of photos from a babymoon she recently took with her husband Zachary Wilezol.
“That’s my baby grandson in there. He and mama looking very good. Love you guys so much,” Ray Romano’s wife, Anna Romano, commented under the post.

Anna and Ray Romano first met in 1983 when they were working as bank tellers, according to People.
The couple started dating two years later and tied the knot in 1987 before welcoming Ally in 1990 — six years before “Everybody Loves Raymond” aired for the first time.
Their three sons — twins Matthew and Gregory Romano, and Joseph Romano — followed in 1993 and 1998, respectively, per People.

The Romanos have been patiently waiting for one of their kids to make them grandparents.
The couple grew one step closer in 2024 when both Matthew and Ally married their significant others.
Ally and Wilezol met through mutual friends in 2021 and started dating shortly after before announcing their engagement in 2023. They tied the knot on Sept. 21, 2024 in New York City, according to People.
According to Brides, Matthew married publicist Erica Markle on April 6, 2024 in Palm Springs.
But by December of that year, Ray Romano was already putting the pressure on his kids to take their marriages one step further.
"My son got married five months ago, and my daughter got married last month," Ray Romano said on the Dec. 11 episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
"It's cool, and now it's like a race for a grandchild,” he continued. “I want a grandchild. And I’m putting the pressure on them.”

Romano went on to joke that he’s “putting a bounty out” in hopes of incentivizing his kids to have children of their own — joking that the prize is $100,000 for a boy and $50,000 for a girl.
