Shai, son of professional dance couple Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd, is getting into the holiday spirit with some silly family jokes.
In a new video on TikTok and Instagram, Shai is seen laughing hysterically with his mom before turning to the camera and making a serious face.
On screen text on the video reads, “When your mom isn’t that funny but Christmas is coming…” playfully implying Shai is flattering his mom to get more presents.
In the caption of the post, Murgatroyd wrote, “Mum is hilarious this time of year 🤣🎄🎅🏼”
In the comments of the post, fans loved the playful family moment.
“Someone is learning his humor from dad!😂 Love it,” one fan commented on the video.
“Shai is growing up so fast! His expression is hilarious. 😂” another fan added.
Shai is the oldest of the couple’s three sons and is about to turn nine years old next month.
Their middle son, Rio, is two and a half, and their youngest, Milan, is one and a half.
Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd first met working on a Broadway show together back in 2009, but did not begin dating at that time.
They later reunited when they were both on Dancing With the Stars in 2012, where they became close friends and eventually a romance sparked between them.
After a brief breakup and reunion, the couple got engaged during an episode of Dancing With the Stars in December of 2015 and got married in July of 2017.
They now enjoy life together as a happy family of five, often making silly videos together online about their family life.
