The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is recalling thousands of Amazon baby products.
On Jan. 8, the CPSC released a new series of baby product recalls for various popular baby products sold on Amazon, including baby bath seats, baby loungers and a multifunction pounding game for kids.
Safety risks include injuries and deaths from fall, entrapment, drowning and ingestion hazards.
Here’s everything parents need to know about the recent U.S. CPSC recalls to keep their children safe.
Joyful Journeys Baby Lounger

A baby lounger is a soft, cushioned pillow designed to give babies a cozy, reclined spot to lounge or play.
According to the CPSC, Joyful Journeys Baby Loungers “violate the mandatory safety standard for Infant Sleep Products” by creating “an unsafe sleeping environment” that can cause death or serious injury.”
These risks are due to the sides being too low, the openings at the foot being too wide and the loungers not having a stand — which pose as fall and entrapment hazards.

The recall affects roughly 9,300 loungers sold on Amazon and Walmart.com from December 2023 through October 2025.
No injuries or deaths have been reported by the CPSC.
To receive a full refund, parents must “remove the foam and pads from the baby lounger’s cover and cut the cover, foam, and pad in half” and send photos to joyfuljourneysrecalls@myjoyfuljourneys.com.
NFSVLB Baby Bath Seat (Blue)

A baby bath seat is a supportive seat designed to help babies sit upright in the bathtub while they’re being bathed.
According to the CPSC, the NFSVLB Baby Bath Seats “violate the mandatory standard for infant bath seats because they are unstable and can tip over while in use.”
They also “have leg openings that allow the child to slip down until the child’s torso can become entrapped, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to drowning and entrapment,” per the CPSC.

The recall affects roughly 1,430 bath seats sold on Amazon from May 2025 through October 2025.
To receive a full refund, parents must disassemble the bath seat by removing the back rest and arm restraints, discard the screws and cut the four suctions on the bottom of the bath seat.
Parents can then send a photo of the disassembled product with “Recalled” written on the front of the bath seat to amzmaihuayd@163.com.
The CPSC has yet to report any incidents, injuries or deaths as a result of the safety concern.
Lterfear Multifunction Pounding Game

A pounding toy is a play activity where children use a small mallet to hit pegs, balls or shapes through a hole — similar to a whack-a-mole game.
According to the CPSC, the Lterfear Multifunction Pounding Game violates the “mandatory standard for toys because they contain high-powered magnets, which can detach, posing an ingestion hazard.”
Once ingested, the magnets can become lodged in the digestive system and result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
The recall affects roughly 3,500 units sold on Amazon from June 2025 through September 2025.
No injuries, deaths or other incidents have been reported, as of Jan. 8.
To receive a full refund, parents should write “RECALLED” on the base of the product with permanent marker and send a photo of the disposed product to Findriverpoundingtoysrecall@outlook.com.
