Kylie Katich Is Pregnant and Expecting Baby No. 2 with Husband Alex Katich

Kylie Katich has another little one on the way.

The home renovation creator is pregnant and expecting her second child with husband Alex Katich, she shared exclusively with PEOPLE. The couple is set to welcome their new addition on July 20.

Kylie says she suspected she might be pregnant but was still stunned when the test confirmed it.

“I had a feeling, took a test, [and] then took about a dozen more because I couldn't believe it!” she tells PEOPLE. “I'd been waiting for that moment for so long and was elated!”

Once the news sank in, Kylie wasted no time spreading the word. She says the excitement was impossible to contain and she immediately reached out to loved ones.

“[It was] beyond exciting! Everyone in my life knew how badly we wanted this baby to join our family. I couldn't even wait to tell them in a 'cute' way like I did with my first,” she says. “I grabbed my phone and immediately started calling everyone in my life to tell them the news!”

While the announcement brought plenty of joy, Kylie admits this pregnancy has been far more difficult than her first. She describes the experience as physically and emotionally demanding.

“It's been, without a doubt, one of the most challenging times of my life,” she shares. “I've been nauseous all day everyday and throwing up three to five times a day from five weeks until now [at] 14 weeks!”

She credits her support system for helping her through the toughest moments. “Lots of IV fluids and help from my sweet husband Alex, my family (especially my mom), and friends have carried me,” Kylie adds.

The couple has already begun discussing baby names and has narrowed things down to a shortlist—though there’s one very opinionated decision-maker involved.

“The most challenging part is getting our 3-year-old to agree,” Kylie also told PEOPLE, referring to daughter Esti.

Despite the challenges, Kylie says the baby feels like the missing piece their family has been waiting for.
