A completed ‘John Tucker Must Die’ sequel script sits at a studio gathering dust.
Pink kicked off her week as guest host of the Kelly Clarkson Show starting March 2 in the most personal way possible: she brought her 14-year-old daughter, Willow Sage Hart, on stage for a duet. And the internet lost it.
The mother-daughter pair performed “Hopeless War” from The Outsiders musical as part of “Cameo-oke,” a spin on the show’s popular “Kellyoke” segment.
While “Kellyoke” features host Kelly Clarkson covering songs from various artists, “Cameo-oke” puts celebrity guests in the spotlight, performing a cover song in the studio without Clarkson present.
Pink and Willow more than rose to the occasion.

Celebrities Couldn’t Stop Gushing
A video of the performance shared by the show on Instagram drew an avalanche of reactions from fans and famous names alike.
“Like mother like daughter,” wrote Rita Ora.
“I’m speechless,” added Carnie Wilson, co-founder of the pop group Wilson Phillips.
“That’s my girl,” wrote Broadway star Shoshana Bean, who also appeared on the episode alongside Glee alum Darren Criss.
Sheryl Crow’s response might hit hardest for fellow parents: “Good. Heavens. To. Mergatroyd!! This was astoundingly incredibly gorgeous!!! I feel a mama pride and she is not even mine! Pink, yall are amazing!!”
Emma Pittman, who stars as Cherry Valance in The Outsiders on Broadway, commented: “Hey so this is iconic ?? always in awe of [Pink’s] vocals, but more recently obsessed with her heart. GOO WILLOW GO!!!!”
The official Instagram account for The Outsiders play chimed in too, commenting “Amazing!” alongside four yellow heart emojis.
Pink Has Always Been Supportive of Willow

The performance itself was stunning, but it’s the way Pink talks about Willow’s ambitions that really gets you. In 2024, Pink told People something any parent of a confident kid will recognize instantly.
“She’s got a voice, man. She’s a little bird,” Pink said. “She wants to do Broadway and then be a trauma surgeon.”

Broadway and then a trauma surgeon. If you’ve ever sat across the dinner table from a kid confidently mapping out a life plan that spans multiple careers, you know exactly the mix of pride and wonder that kind of declaration stirs up.
Pink calling Willow “a little bird” — not a mini-me, not a protégé, but a creature finding its own flight path — says a lot about how she sees her daughter: as someone with her own trajectory.
Willow Sage Hart Beats Pink at Broadway Trivia
The duet wasn’t the only memorable moment from the episode. Pink and Willow also took part in a Broadway trivia game called “I Have to Know If You Know This Show!” — and the results tell their own story.
It was mother vs. daughter. Bean and Willow matched up against Criss and Pink. They answered questions about shows like Grease, Wicked and Hadestown.
Willow and Bean won.
Anyone who has ever been bested by their own child in a board game, a sports match, or a knowledge contest knows that specific mix of mock indignation and genuine pride. Willow didn’t just show up. She showed out.
From Flying Together to Sharing the Spotlight
This wasn’t the first time the two performed together, and their shared history on stage traces a kid growing up in real time.
Pink and Willow released a song, “Cover Me In Sunshine,” in 2021 and performed it while suspended in the air at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.
Since then, Willow has performed at her mom’s “Trustfall” tour in 2023, at the Democratic National Convention, and at her mom’s “Summer Carnival” tour in 2024.
Most recently, she performed at Hugh Jackman’s concert at Radio Music City Hall in 2025.
What started as a mother bringing a young child along for a magical moment has evolved into something more collaborative — a teenager who holds her own on stage, wins trivia contests against her own mom, and dreams of a future that encompasses both Broadway and medicine.
