Amira, the feminine form of Amir, translates to "commander" or "princess" in Arabic and "treetop" in Hebrew. It debuted inside the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 in 1998, but has consistently risen in popularity since. It cracked the top 300 in 2019 and most recently made the top 200 in 2023. Amira is the name actress Diana Zubiri and her husband Andy Smith gave their daughter in 2020. Though not as popular, Amirah has been inside the SSA's top 1,000 every year since 2008.
