Beau, a beautiful name for a baby boy, directly translates to "beautiful" and "handsome" in French. It debuted inside the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 for boy names in 1967, but entered new territory in 2021 when it cracked the top 100 for the first time. It has only grown more popular since and was given to more than 4,000 baby boys in 2023, alone. Several celebrities have joined along, including NFL player Fred Warner, HGTV star Shea Hicks Whitfield, singer-songwriter Emma Bunton, actor Adam Devine, "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Tori Spelling and country music singer Luke Combs -- all of whom have sons named Beau. Though not as popular in the U.S., Beau can also be used as a girl's name.
