The name Lilith is derived from the Akkadian word lilitu, meaning "of the night." It's a dark and mysterious name that was given to a demon in ancient Assyrian myths, but can also be a Biblical name tied to Lilith, the first wife of Adam and a primordial she-demon. Then again, some parents use it as an elaborated form of Lily, referring to the flower. Lilith first appeared in the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 for girl names in 2010 before entering the top-250 for the first time in 2023. It's also the name former WWE superstar Nidia Guenard gave her daughter Lilith Fey Dal Basco, born in 2007.
