Raelynn, a modern invented name, is a combination of the name Rae, a variant of Rae or short form of Rachel, and the suffix -lynn, meaning "lake." It first appeared in the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 for girl names in 2008 and debuted inside the top-200 in 2015. Raelynn has now been a top-125 girl's name every year since 2018 and even cracked the top-100 for the first (and only) time in 2022. Singer-songwriter Rachel Lynn, known professionally as RaeLynn, helped give this name a boost after appearing on "The Voice" in 2012. Her first album was released two years later.
