“Our eldest daughter is named Mila, which is like a perfectly popular name.”
Don’t expect Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt to choose an overly-unique baby name for their first child.
The 32-year-old “Saturday Night Live” alum opened up about the couple’s baby-naming process during an interview with People, published Dec. 9, at a recent shoot for eBay’s “Built to Spec” series.
And it appears Davidson has already crossed “weird Hollywood” baby names off his shortlist.
“For a while, we were like, should we do that weird Hollywood thing where it's like a color or something? And then I think we're more into the Staten Island normal,” he told the outlet.

“Mikey, Johnny, Tommy, Mark or Amy, Bridget, Maggie sort of route, because that's missing, I miss that. Remember when you were growing up, you knew like seven Franks?” he added.
That might be true for his baby’s first name, but apparently not the middle name.
“We were thinking the middle name could be a little fun,” Davidson revealed to People.
Davidson’s update comes nearly five months after Hewitt announced her pregnancy on Instagram in July.
The soon-to-be first-time father has been open about wanting to be a father for years — and described it as his “favorite thing ever” that he has yet to achieve during a 2022 appearance on “Hart to Hart.”
“That’s like my dream. It’s like, super corny,” Davidson, who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time, told host Kevin Hart.
“It would be so fun. Dress up the little dude,” he added. “That’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude, develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier.”
Pete Davidson says he’s ‘nervous’ to meet his child for the first time
As much as Davidson can’t wait to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a father, he can’t help but admit to being “nervous” about fatherhood.
"But I'm just so excited to meet it," he told USA Today. "I want to meet this person we made. It's just been in Elsie's belly for 9 months, and I'm like, 'What, what is this thing? Like, come out already.'"
He went on to share his best advice for other expecting parents — especially first-timers.
"Don't wait. You think 9 months is a long time?" he said. "Like, it is, and it isn't, because it's stressful and there's emotions and whatnot, but 9 months it comes. It comes fast. So make sure you're prepared."
As for the baby’s name, Davidson said they might make that decision when the little one arrives.
"We thought we did, and then we thought we found another one," he said of settling on a name. "We just wanna meet it, and then we're like, you know, this is a (blank)."
