“It’s the book I wish I had on my bed stand when I was going through treatment.”
Ben Affleck is enjoying the small wins that come with being a parent.
The 52-year-old actor, who shares three kids with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, recently opened up about a “positive review” he received from his son Samuel, 13, after watching his newest film “The Accountant 2.”
“He watched it and was like, ‘Dad, I think it might be my favorite movie of yours,’” Affleck said in an interview with E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the April 16 premiere of the sequel.

The movie is set to be released on April 25 in the United States.
“That was high praise which doesn’t come easy from your kids,” he added. “If I get one positive review from my kids I stick with it — quit while I’m ahead.”
Affleck also discussed how his son reacts now that he’s old enough to understand his father’s icon status in Hollywood.
“My son loves everybody but he’s shocked that I somehow know people he thinks are cool,” Affleck told E! News at the premiere.
“He’s like, ‘Why do these people want to hang out with my dad?’ Which may be a valid question but I’m getting away with it,” he continued.
In addition to Samuel, Affleck and Garner share two older daughters — Violet, 19, and Seraphina, 16 — who were also at the premiere.
The former power couple met in 2000 and went public with their relationship in 2004 after starring in “Daredevil” together the previous year, according to People.
They tied the knot in 2005, but separated 10 years later and finalized their divorce in 2018.
Affleck went on to date “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus, “Playboy” model Shauna Sexton and actress Ana de Armas before rekindling his relationship with actress-singer Jennifer Lopez.

Affleck and Lopez, who were engaged in the early 2000s, shocked everyone when they tied the knot in 2022 before separating two years later and finalizing their divorce in January.
While talking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his new movie, Affleck issued high praise for his former wife — who was at the premiere with her kids.
“It’s a great night. The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m very, very excited,” Affleck told ET.
“For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular. Great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them,” he added. “I love her kids. They’re wonderful. She’s enormously important — (a) tremendous person.”
Affleck also talked about a scene in the movie where he’s line dancing in a pair of orthopedic sneakers — something he admits his children ridicule him for.
“My son just wants to see the dad from ‘Invicible,’ you know what I mean?” Affleck told ET. “That’s all he cares about.”
“But that’s part of what being a teenager is, I guess,” he added. “Maybe it’ll wear off by the time they get to their 20s.”
His comment comes a little over a month after he and his son went viral at a sneaker convention.
It didn’t take long for Samuel to spot a pair of expensive Dior Air Force 1s that cost $6,000 — which was more than Affleck was willing to spend.

"That's a lot of lawns you gotta mow there," Affleck joked to his son, who replied, "No, they're tough! I always said they look good."
