“Oh my gosh, this is so surreal."
Ben Savage, best known for playing Cory Matthews in “Boy Meets World,” is sharing some exciting news.
On Tuesday, May 20, Savage took to Instagram to reveal the news alongside his wife, Tessa Angermeier.
Savage and Angermeier wed in February 2023 after they began dating in 2018, according to People.
Now, the couple is preparing to become parents.
Alongside a photo of the two of them standing among California’s palm trees holding a series of sonogram images, Savage wrote, “Arriving this fall.”
In the comment section, fans congratulated the actor turned politician.
“Baby Meets World,” one commenter wrote. “FATHER MEETS WORLD,” another added.

“How wonderful!!! Congratulations!!!” shared another fan.
Savage often shares photos of himself and Angermeier together on social media. In July 2023, Savage celebrated their marriage with photos from the day, writing, “Always and forever.”
Angermeier was often seen with Savage while on the campaign trail when he ran for Congress last election.
While Savage has distanced himself from being an actor in pursuit of a career in politics, in February his former “Boy Meets World” co-stars Will Friedle, Danielle Fishel, and Rider Strong said Savage “ghosted” them following a conversation in 2020.
Despite sharing a photo of Savage holding Fishel’s newborn son in 2019, during an episode of the podcast they co-hosts, “Pod Meets World,” the three actors said something changed for Savage all of a sudden.
“He disappeared — I wish I knew why, to this day,” Friedle added. “We didn’t have a fight. There’s no falling out. There was no animosity. He just woke up one day, and decided: I don’t want this person in my life anymore."
“I finally sent a text saying: ‘I’ve known you for 30 years, what’s going on?' I said: ‘I’m gonna call you every day until you tell me not to call you anymore.’ That lasted about three weeks or a month, every single day,” Friedle continued talking about his quest for answers.
