Bill Belichick’s girlfriend is clapping back at the critics.
The 73-year-old football coach, who has been dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson since early 2023, per Us Weekly, is currently on a press tour promoting his new memoir “The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football.”
But things took an awkward turn during a recent interview with “CBS Sunday Morning,” which aired April 27.

At one point in the conversation, Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick how he met his girlfriend, who was present at a nearby desk throughout the interview.
“We’re not talking about this,” Hudson interjected from the desk, to which Dokoupil asked, “No?”

This is wild.

“It’s a topic neither one of them is comfortable commenting on,” Dokoupil added in a voiceover while describing Hudson as a “constant presence” during the conversation.
It didn’t take long for the awkward interaction to go viral — and now Hudson is issuing a cryptic response.
In an Instagram post captioned, “Full statement to be released later today,” Hudson shared a screenshot of an email Belichick supposedly sent to his book’s promotional team.
In the email, Belichick appeared to be disappointed by the “hype” his memoir was receiving.

“This is about what I expected from the media,” Belichick writes in the email — referencing an article that focused on the mistakes Belichick discussed in the book, as opposed to the other topics he writes about.
“I am certainly not surprised that of 260+ pages, that is what they would highlight,” Belichick continued, describing the article as “click bait.”
Belichick goes on to foreshadow that his interviews and podcast appearances will “no doubt” focus on the negatives that are “most relevant to their ratings and their agenda,” which he doesn’t agree with.
Instead, Belichick wants his memoir to be promoted in a more positive light.
“I want this book to be presented as a look at my professional life,” he writes in the email.
“This book is about how I did my job, and lessons from my 50 years in and around the NFL — not a bathroom book that highlights my mistakes,” he adds.
The hype, he says, isn’t necessary and lacks authenticity.
“I am not going to be the conductor of a hype train in the book promotion — we have enough hype to work with,” he wrote. “I hope we can get on the same page in promoting the book authentically.”
The email, which was dated April 10, was sent more than two weeks before his interview with Dokoupil.
New details emerge from Belichick’s viral CBS interview
According to TMZ, Belichick’s awkward interview was perhaps more disastrous than cameras showed.
On April 28, the outlet reported that Hudson, at one point, “stormed out of the room and delayed shooting for 30 minutes” — and there were other alleged instances of Hudson interrupting and correcting Belichick.
TMZ’s sources also reported that Dokoupil was “spooked” by her behavior and ultimately decided to “wrap up things quickly” in an effort to salvage the interview.
To make matters worse, TMZ reports that Hudson’s influence on Belichick “isn’t sitting well” with the University of North Carolina — which signed Belichick to coach their football team earlier this year.
Despite the backlash, Hudson appears to be doubling down on her relationship with Belichick.
One hour after posting the email screenshot, Hudson took to her Instagram Stories to re-share a video she originally posted in February.
In the video, Hudson opens a book she had signed by Belichick when they first met in 2021.
“February 11th, 2025 ➡️ February 11th, 2021. Happy Meetiversary,” she wrote in the caption. “Cheers to the fact that you still let me give you lengthy philosophical lectures four years later.”
In the book, Belichick wrote, “Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!”
Belichick and Hudson allegedly met on a flight in 2021. Rumors of a relationship started swirling in 2023 and were confirmed in 2024, per E! News.
