Boston Rob’s “absolutely perfect” Father’s Day was followed by a hospital visit.
The 49-year-old “Survivor” alum, born Rob Mariano, took to his Instagram Stories on June 16 to share that his 14-year-old daughter, Carina, suffered a “pretty severe reaction” to a plant while on vacation.
“Carina Rose got poked by this plant yesterday on the golf course...long story short we ended up in the hospital last night,” he wrote in a Story, per People.

According to Boston Rob, doctors discovered an “abundance of fluid” near the site of the wound and his daughter, who was “in a lot of pain,” was prescribed antibiotics to treat the reaction.
He later returned to his Stories and identified the plant as an El Datilillo, or “The Spanish Dagger.”
The Spanish dagger is a “fast-growing, tropical-looking yucca” that “has sword-like foliage that originates from the center of the plant,” according to Horticulture Unlimited.
“Thankfully, she’s feeling much better today!” he added at the bottom of the post.
Boston Rob’s update came amid a recent family vacation in Cabo San Lucas, according to E! News.
He first posted about the trip on June 13 and later shared a series of photos documenting the Father’s Day he had with his family.
“Absolutely Perfect!!! Father’s Day with my Family!” he wrote in the caption.
In a funny video posted June 17, Boston Rob can be seen standing on a golf course saying, “Hey, I’m Rob and I booked the tee times.”
“All #mygirls living their best lives this week,” he said of the vacation in the caption. “Which one do you identify with the most?!?”
Boston Rob’s daughter Carina had him crying like a baby
Boston Rob shares four daughters with his wife and fellow “Survivor” alum Amber Mariano.
The couple met while competing against one another on “Survivor: All-Stars” in 2004, which ended with Boston Rob proposing in the live finale — and Amber Mariano saying yes.
They later tied the knot in a televised wedding on April 16, 2005, according to NBC Insider, and started raising a family four years later.
Lucia Rose was born in 2009, followed by Carina Rose in 2010, Isabetta Rose in 2012 and Adelina Rose in 2014, according to People.
Boston Rob regularly posts about his children, including a recent video of him teaching Lucia how to drive, a photo of Adelina playing billiards and a photo showing Isabetta’s love for baking.
As for Carina, she has been bringing out her father’s emotional side.
On May 21, Boston Rob shared a series of photos of him and his family at Carina’s middle school graduation — and he wrote a touching message for her in the caption.
“#CarinaRose you are so kind and smart and beautiful, and you will succeed in whatever you do. You are a wonderful daughter and a great sister. You are a Champion!” he wrote.
He also revealed that Carina was handed “one of her schools top honor(s), The Leadership award.”
