“Thank you for being by my side. Now and always. I love you.”
Update: On Monday, May 19, Carey Hart returned to Instagram to share an update on his recovery.
In the video showing himself on a walk with his dog, Sandy, Hart said, “Getting it in. Sweating out the poisons. Day one recovery.”
In the caption, Hart wrote, “Let’s do this 👊🏻👊🏻. Day 1. Don’t worry, I won’t post to much of this BS 🤣. I’m on the mend and moving forward. Goal is to be back on my @indianmotorcycle (not mx bike) for our @goodride on June 7th. See how it goes 🤷🏻♂️. I like to turn injury recovery into a challenge or competition to stay motivated. Have a great week, everyone.”
Fans in the comments sent encouraging messages to Hart while also asking him not to do this to his wife, Pink, again.
“Dude! How many lives do you have? I think you were a cat in another life. Take care and don't do this to your wife again,” one commenter wrote.
“Hope you have a speedy recovery. In the meantime, enjoy life at a slower pace than you are used to! Take it easy,” another added.
Carey Hart, husband of pop star Pink, is publicly apologizing to his wife after he suffered severe injuries.
Hart, a professional motocross rider, was on a ride when he “ran out of talent.”
On Saturday, May 17, Hart took to Instagram to share several photos of himself in his hospital room, including images of his bandaged up injuries.
In the caption, Hart explained that he “had a pretty nasty get off, practicing Thursday morning.”

“Landed off a jump, bars knifed, and took the bar to the gut while going over the bars,” Hart continued. “As I understand it, severed my small intestine from my colon.”
“I’m fine,” he assured his fans, “and will recover from this,” he added before thanking those who helped him following his crash.
“Just a big thank you to @feedbigb for talking me into going to the ER, and a huge thanks to @pink,” Hart wrote. “As always does in these situations (with) me, she steps up and takes charge at the hospital.”
Hart then apologized to Pink for putting her “through this, yet again,” he said along with the laughing emoji.
He also thanked his two children he shares with Pink, 13-year-old Willow and 8-year-old Jameson “for coming to visit today.”
“Gonna rest up this week, and start the healing process,” Hart continued, also apologizing to “everyone I ghosted over the last couple days. There was a good reason for it.”
