Add Emma Stone to the list of mothers who love watching “Bluey” with their children.
The 36-year-old “La La Land” actress shares daughter Louise Jean, 4, with her husband Dave McCary, whom she has been married to since September 2020, according to People.
While Stone is known for staying off social media and rarely talks about her life as a mom, she shared a touching update about motherhood in a new interview with Vogue.

“There’s nothing I feel luckier about,” she said in the interview, published Aug. 11. “She’s the greatest gift of my life, for sure.”
According to Emma Stone, daughter Louise loves to watch “Bluey,” the popular Australian kids show that topped Nielsen's streaming ratings with 25.06 billion minutes in the first half of 2025.
And if you’re wondering what Stone’s favorite “Bluey” episode is, Vogue says she “champions” the episode “Sleepytime” from season two.
As for Emma Stone on motherhood, she says it has completely changed her outlook on life.
“It’s streamlined everything,” Stone told Vogue. “It’s a clichéd thing to say, but it changes everything. And simplifies everything.”
“I do think it unlocks different things,” she continues of how motherhood has affected her career. “I don’t know if it’s specifically that, but I feel everything I could possibly feel, because everything has exploded.”
Stone also detailed how she often wonders if her career — and the amount of time it takes away from her life at home — is worth it now that she’s a parent.
Stone’s former co-star says she’s handling motherhood ‘with grace’
Elsewhere in the interview, Vogue spoke with Martha MacIsaac, who starred alongside Stone in “Superbad.”
MacIsaac, who is a mom of two and has remained close to Stone since the film’s release in 2007, told Vogue that Stone is a great mother to daughter Louise.
“Motherhood can be so difficult, and she’s handling it with grace,” MacIsaac said. “I FaceTimed her during both of my labors. Her medical advice is very sound.”
Stone and McCary met in December 2016 on the set of “Saturday Night Live,” according to Harper’s Bazaar.
McCary was a writer and segment director for SNL at the time, while Stone was enjoying her third go-around as a host. One of the skits she starred in, “Wells for Boys,” was written by McCary.
The pair were rumored to be an item as early as June 2017, but didn’t make their first public appearance until January 2019 when they attended an NBA game together.

The two announced their engagement in December 2019 and tied the knot the following year, according to People.
By March 2021, Stone and McCary became a family of three when they welcomed daughter Louise Jean — whose name was inspired by Stone’s great-grandmother Jean Louise, per Vanity Fair.
Stone and her mother also share a middle name with baby Louise.
