“That is terrible.”
The Hadid family has grown by one — or, at least it did 23 years ago.
In an exclusive statement shared with The Daily Mail, models Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid revealed that they have a half-sister that they didn’t know existed for more than two decades.
But a genetic test brought the three siblings together for the first time in late 2023.

“Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy,” the sisters wrote of their father, Mohamad Hadid, in the statement, published by The Daily Mail on May 29.
The half-sister, Aydan Nix, is a 23-year-old graduate of the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan.
“Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19,” the family wrote in the statement.
“After his passing, she decided to take a genetic test out of curiosity, and that’s how she discovered a biological connection to us,” the statement continued.
The sisters added that they’ve “cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition” to the family.
“She’s spent time with all of us, including our dad,” they wrote. “As siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations— with Aydan included —about how to support and protect her.”
The report confirmed that Nix was raised by her mother, Terri Hatfield Dull, in Orlando.
Mohamed Hadid allegedly had a brief romance with Dull following his divorce from Yolanda Hadid in 2000. Mohamed and Yolanda share two daughters, Gigi and Bella, and a son, Anwar, together.
Dull learned she was pregnant with Nix shortly after her split from Mohamed Hadid, per People.
According to The Daily Mail, Mohamed Hadid “always knew” about Nix and the father-daughter duo had “maintained a cordial and pleasant relationship,” though he had never provided child support.
He has also never publicly acknowledged Nix and had never talked about having a sixth child, until now.
Mohamed Hadid also shares two daughters, Marielle and Alana, with his first wife, Mary Butler.
Hadid sisters ask public to grant Nix the privacy she desires
Despite her newfound fame, the Hadid sisters say they want to respect Nix’s desire for privacy.
“We kindly ask others to do the same and honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York,” they added.
The 23-year-old, who used to deliver pizzas in the summer, hopes to work in the fashion industry as a designer, stylist and influencer.
On May 21, she took to Instagram to post a photo dump after graduating from college.
“WTF………. post grad ……..” she wrote in the caption.
According to The Daily Mail, Mohamed Hadid was initially expected to attend the graduation ceremony, but allegedly canceled one week prior.
