Fans can’t get enough of Girl Named Tom’s newest single.
The singing trio, made up of siblings Bekah Liechty, Joshua Liechty and Caleb Liechty, continue to find their voice after parting ways with Republic Records earlier this year.
The trio first rose to prominence after winning season 21 of “The Voice” with Kelly Clarkson as a mentor.

On June 6, they debuted their new song, “Lucky One” — and it’s already a massive hit with fans.
“Lucky One speaks for those who have survived betrayal and found inner resilience. A hauntingly fierce anthem of freedom, healing, and reclaimed power,” the trio wrote of the song on their official website.
In the song, Bekah Liechty sings about being gaslit and lied to by a toxic ex.
The group opened up about the meaning behind the song in a statement posted to social media.
“‘Lucky One’ is about the kind of love that’s hard to talk about.. the kind where the writing is on the wall, though you don’t want to read it,” the trio wrote on Facebook.
They go on to describe the song as a “mantra for anyone who needs it right now.”
“The kind of love that makes you dig into your own strength and choose a new journey,” they add of the song. “We love you and hope that soon you will see color in the stained glass.”
On YouTube, fans called the new song “powerful” and “haunting.”
“So powerful. I hope this beautiful song and its message reaches the people that need it the most,” one fan wrote. “An incredibly beautiful and talented lady singing an incredibly beautiful and heartfelt song.”
Others were quick to relate to the words in the song.
“Wow, the lyrics hit home, was also lucky to get out of that kind of situation. Family and friends made all the difference. Great job on this song!” a third fan commented.
In the YouTube description, Girl Named Tom encouraged fans who are in an abusive relationship to visit DomesticShelters.org for help in their area.
Bekah Liechty details heartfelt interaction with new fan after show
Girl Named Tom has been busy in the weeks since releasing “Lucky One.”
On June 18, the trio performed the new song at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN for a show that also featured Michael Logen and Leslie Satcher — and it was just as much of a hit then as it is now.
Bekah Liechty took to Instagram the next day to discuss an interaction she had with one of the show’s attendees.
“After the show, got to meet this amazing woman and she came up with tears in her eyes and she said, ‘I’ve been crying since you sang ‘Lucky One,’’” Bekah Liechty recalled.
The listener had never heard of Girl Named Tom before, but the song made them an instant fan.
“That song connected with her and I hate, hate, hate seeing a beautiful, strong woman cry like that,” Bekah Liechty added. “I’m not a violent person, but I would throw hands with whoever hurt her.”
Bekah Liechty goes on to share some kind words for anyone struggling to get out of a “terrible situation.”
“I hope you have people around you who you can be honest with and be supported by because you need your village. Anyone out there who’s in a toxic relationship — you’re stronger than you know,” she said.
She described giving her new fan a hug as “so good for my soul.”
“She said it was just what she needed and I hope it’s just what you need,” Bekah Liechty continued. “And I’m honored to be a small part of your strength. I love you.”
