Woman Goes Viral for Her Unique Name — And the Comments Prove She’s Not Alone

Ryan Brennan | January 26, 2026

There’s nothing quite like waking up on a Saturday morning.

But for one social media influencer, Saturday Morning isn’t just a vibe — it’s what’s written on her birth certificate and driver’s license. And it’s sparking a viral conversation about unique names.

On Dec. 16, Saturday Morning took to Instagram to see just how “unusual” her name is.

“Is it safe to show your ID on the internet?” she wrote in the caption of a video where she holds her driver’s license up to the camera. “Does anyone else have unusual names?”

For those wondering, Saturday is certainly one of the most unique names you’ll come across today — albeit not as unique or “unusual” as Aquaman, the name Trisha Paytas gave her son, born in 2025.

In fact, of all seven days of the week, only three of them were given to at least five babies in 2024.

According to the Social Security Administration, the name Wednesday was given to 75 baby girls that year, while Sunday was given to nine baby girls and Tuesday was given to eight baby girls.

And let’s not forget about Sunday Rose, the daughter of Nicole Kidman and her ex-husband Keith Urban.

But Saturday — as well as Monday, Thursday and Friday — are virtually unused in the U.S. today. And having the middle name Morning on top of that makes it that much more unique.

“I have a pretty unorthodox name, as you could tell,” Saturday said in her video.

She went on to say that it never dawned on her that people didn’t believe her when she would tell them her name — after all, it’s the name she grew up with and what her parents called her since she was born.

Yet, she has to explain herself every time she places a food order online.

“Oh, I thought you meant you were wanting to place your order on Saturday,” she recalled as she acted out what a restaurant would say to her when they asked for her name.

Unique names are more common than you’d think

It didn’t take long for Saturday Morning’s video to go viral online.

One parent took to the comment section to open up about the names she chose for her two sons, Peter and Miles. And before you ask — yes, their last name is Parker.

“Every time people here his name,” she said of her son Miles, “They tell him ‘Your parents had the perfect opportunity to name you Peter Parker’... he has to reply ‘No, that's my older brother.’”

But that’s just the start of what her comment section had to offer.

  • “HEY Saturday, IM SUNDAE”
  • “My cousin name is anonymous.. ANONYMOUS”
  • “It’s okay Saturday, I’m Morning. I don’t leave my house until 12:00 pm”
  • “My name is “Libra” and before you ask…nope I’m a Taurus”
  • “I know a set of twins named Early and Late”
  • “My cousins name is Delicious”
  • “My homie name is Knowledge and his pops name is Understanding”
  • “My name is Jazmin Rice and I have to give a preloaded speech every time”

Lavender is a rather unique name — one that was given to 258 baby girls in 2024, per the SSA — but one user’s parents made it even more unique by combining it with the word Love. Her name is LoveN’der.

Another girl’s name is Wai, pronounced like “Why.”

A former Sunday School teacher used to teach a student whose first name was Special — and her middle name was Pretzel.

“Same girl. My name is Majik (Magic) and I lie when I order food. I just say Britt. Don’t got time for the comments n jokes,” another user wrote.

Other rare baby girl names you’ll find in the SSA’s annual list of baby names include Ferris, Korea, Chumy, Wyzdom, Starlight, Spiritual, Fairlight, Ablessyn, Fairy, Shadow, Ahnesty and Tsunami.
