Despite going on a world tour celebrating all of her musical eras, Taylor Swift is far from done making music.
In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal published on Monday, December 22, former NFL center Jason Kelce talked all things retirement and future brother-in-law to Taylor Swift.
As Kelce admitted to The Wall Street Journal, retirement is far different from what he imagined it would be. The 38-year-old thought it would mean more time with his family and some investment opportunities.
Instead, Kelce says he’s more famous now than he’s ever been. “You know, I’m all over television, and my face, in particular, is much more out there,” Kelce told the WSJ.
And while Kelce is investing in his retirement, he has also become a staple on Monday Night Football while his podcast he started with his brother Travis Kelce in 2022 has taken on a life of its own.

He’s also now known has Taylor Swift’s soon-to-be brother-in-law after Travis and Taylor got engaged earlier this year.
Yet, despite having a world class businessperson in his life, Kelce says it is career as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles that has set him up for success.
“Centers, in general, tend to be pretty successful in other fields,” he explained to WSJ. “A lot of it is, you’re a decision maker and you’re a communicator. The center is kind of the leader of the offensive line.”
In fact, Kelce prefers to keep his relationship to Swift separate from his professional life.
“We’ve tried to keep a lot of that out of the relationship,” Kelce replied when asked if he ever received any advice from Swift. “I just enjoy her being my brother’s soon-to-be wife, and aunt to my kids, and we try to leave that relationship where it should be, there.”
“But yeah, watching her operate, watching her savviness in getting her entire music catalogue back, watching how she has toured the globe while also writing an entire new album, the level at which she takes control over a lot of different aspects but also allowing people to be experts in their own right, I think that a lot of that stuff is fun to watch,” Kelce added.
Kelce also discussed the type of wedding guest he is, admitting he is known for taking his shirt off at weddings.
“…somehow I keep getting invited back to peoples’ weddings,” he told WSJ. “I’m a good time, usually. But since being with Kylie, it’s been much more tame.”
And the now dad of four doesn’t plan on being any different when it comes to Taylor and Travis’s big day.
“Listen, the first time I met Taylor was at a Buffalo Bills game. I jumped out of a suite. She invites us back to things now! We’ll see if the shirt stays on or off. I think if my shirt comes off, Kylie will be very upset about that.”
