"Cherishing this beautiful trip filled with incredible memories of love, laughter and pure bliss with my family and very delicious food!”
Johnny Depp hopes to one day be called “Papa” again.
The 62-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor shares two children — daughter Lily-Rose, 26, and son Jack, 23 — with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, whom he split from in 2012.
While his kids used to call him “Papa,” it appears Depp now goes by a new name at home.

“I was Papa. I cannot tell you how much I loved being Papa,” Depp said about his two kids in a recent interview with “The Sunday Times,” published June 21.
“Then, suddenly, Papa was out the window. I was Dad," he added. "But Papa was awesome, and I’m getting old enough for Papa to possibly come back.”
The rare comment came after Depp was asked about a painting hanging in his Soho, London home.
“This is a portrait of my daughter, Lily-Rose,” he told “The Times” of the painting. “I never finished it. She was 10 then, and 25 now.”
Depp and Paradis, a renowned French actress, model and singer, were first linked to one another in the summer of 1998, according to People.
The pair welcomed Lily-Rose in 1999, followed by Jack three years later.
Despite being devoted to one another and buying a private island together in 2004, the couple repeatedly dodged wedding rumors and insisted that marriage wasn’t something they talked about often.
Depp and Paradis “amicably separated,” per E! News, in 2012 after 14 years together.
Now 13 years later, Depp is reflecting on how quickly time passes — and how fast kids grow up.
“Years get away from us, don’t they?” Depp told “The Times” in his June 21 interview, adding that he’s “of the empty-nest syndrome” now that his two kids are living away from home.
Depp reveals that he doesn’t spend much time in the US
Elsewhere in the interview, Depp was asked where he feels home is today.
The “Finding Neverland” actor admitted that he doesn’t spend a lot of time in the United States these days — further clarifying that he spends most of his time in the Bahamas and London.
“But home…” Depp said with a pause, per “The Times.”
“Truly, the first time I felt I had a home was the place in the south of France where Vanessa and I raised the kiddies,” he added. “That’s the only place that ever felt like home.”
In a 2011 interview with “The Daily Mail,” Depp described family life with Paradis as “not conventional.”
The actor revealed that the family of four spent most of their time “split between homes in Los Angeles, two houses in France, a yacht and a private island in the Caribbean,” per “The Daily Mail.”
“I don’t know how it works, but it does all work beautifully. Our family is not conventional — it’s sort of symmetrical and asymmetrical and poetic and funny,” he added at the time.

In a 2009 interview with Vanity Fair, Depp opened up about his private island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay.
The “Sweeney Todd” actor revealed that each of the beaches on the island are named after something special to him — including beaches named after Paradis and their two kids together.
