On Wednesday, August 6, Kelly Clarkson took to Instagram to make an announcement.
According to the singer and talk show host, Clarkson revealed she has to postpone her remaining August shows. Currently, Clarkson is headlining a Las Vegas Residency titled “Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions.”
Sadly, in a statement shared on her Instagram page, Clarkson revealed that she would be postponing her shows in order to be there for her kids.
“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” Clarkson began her statement.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” Clarkson continued. “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
Fans applauded Clarkson for putting her children before her career.
“Those kids need you more than we do! Go be the best momma! Best wishes to all involved,” one fan commented.
“Family first. Was so excited to be there next Friday. And I’ll be back when you re schedule,” another fan added.

Clarkson shares her two children, River Rose and Remington, with her ex-husband, her former manager Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson and Blackstock wed in 2013 before divorcing in 2022.
