It must "run in the family."
Kelly Osbourne speaks out for the first time since Ozzy Osbourne’s death.
On Monday, Aug. 4, Kelly Osbourne took to Instagram to share her first statement since her father’s death on July 22.
“I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times,” Kelly Osbourne began her statement, “and still don’t know if the world will ever feel like enough. But from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
Kelly Osbourne continued, saying “the love, support, and beautiful messages” she’s received from fans of her family and her father, who founded “Black Sabbath” in 1968, “have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life.”

“Every kind word, every shared memory, every bit of compassion has meant more than I can ever explain,” she wrote, noting that “grief is a strange thing.”
Kelly Osbourne writes that grief “sneaks up on you in waves. I will not be ok for a while, but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind,” she said of Ozzy Osbourne.
“Thank you for being there,” she concluded her statement, which she set to her dad’s song, “See You on the Other Side.” “I love you all so much.”
Kelly Osbourne’s thoughts come after her sister-in-law, Aree Osbourne, who is married to Ozzy Osbourne’s son, Jack Osbourne, shared a statement on Aug. 3.
“I’m pretty sure I have the coolest father-in-law around, and the best papa to my kids,” she wrote, alongside pictures of their family. “The world got a rockstar but we got an ice lolly loving, goofy, big hearted guy who made us laugh like no other.”
“He was always in my corner and I forever am thankful to him for raising my husband and blessing me with my family. We got Nana always, Papa,” Aree Osbourne said of his wife, Sharon Osbourne.
