The connection had some viewers feeling nostalgic — but others were left wondering why.
If there’s one thing the Kelce family knows, it’s that quality time doesn’t require fancy gifts or elaborate plans — sometimes all it takes is a strong pair of arms and a willingness to play airplane.
Kylie Kelce, host of the popular podcast Not Gonna Lie, recently welcomed her brother-in-law Travis Kelce onto the show for a wide-ranging conversation that offered a warm, candid look at the family dynamics behind one of the most talked-about families in America. The conversation, which aired in the Feb. 6 episode of Not Gonna Lie, covered everything from how the Kelce nieces interact with their famous uncle to Kylie’s heartfelt reaction to Travis and Taylor Swift’s engagement.
‘They Want to Be Anti-Gravity’
Kylie shares four daughters with husband Jason Kelce — Travis’s brother — including Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 10 months. As anyone with young children might imagine, having a Kansas City Chiefs player as an uncle comes with certain expectations — specifically, the airborne kind.
“Air time. They want to be anti-gravity,” Travis, 36, shared during the episode. “They want to be in the air flying, just acting as planes.”

The image is as endearing as it is funny: a group of little girls lining up for their turn to be launched skyward by one of the most well-known athletes in the country. And according to Kylie, each daughter has her own unique approach to demanding Travis’s full physical engagement.
“All of the kids are…well, Bennett thinks your legs don’t work. That’s ridiculous, right?” the 33-year-old joked to her brother-in-law. “And the big girls are like, ‘You can throw us for seven hours straight.’”
The playful exchange painted a vivid picture of what visits with Uncle Travis look like in the Kelce household — less red carpet, more roughhousing on the living room floor.
Travis’s Recovery Plan: Uncle Duty Edition
While the hilarious habit clearly brings joy to the entire family, it does come with a physical component — even for a professional football player. Travis offered a lighthearted update on how his body is holding up under the demands of his youngest fans.
“We’re good now,” he reassured while pretending to bench press the air. “I didn’t do anything in January, so the shoulder’s doing great now. I feel like I’m always making up for the last time I saw them to now on all the airtime they’re missing out on, so I have to get it back up where it should be.”
The comment drew a charming picture of an uncle who takes his responsibilities seriously — not just showing up, but making sure the energy and enthusiasm match whatever his nieces are expecting. And according to Kylie, that dedication is what makes Travis so special to her daughters.

‘The Best Uncle’
Kylie didn’t hold back when praising Travis for the way he shows up for her children. Beyond the physical play, she emphasized that it’s his genuine presence and attention that leave the biggest impression.
“You come in and give them your undivided attention,” she recalled. “You get down on the floor with them and you play whatever they ask you to play. You really engage with them in a way that, and I think you already know this because you do it, they don’t care what you bring.”
The podcast host continued, “You can bring candies and toys and that’s all fine. But what they’re the most excited about is getting thrown around.”
It’s a sentiment that resonates with anyone who has spent time around young kids. For Kylie’s daughters, the most meaningful gift isn’t something that comes in a box — it’s the time and energy their uncle invests in simply being with them. Kylie praised him for being “the best uncle” to them, a title Travis seems to take to heart every time he visits.

Travis and Taylor got engaged last August, and Kylie has been open about how thrilled the family is about the news.
“I am so incredibly happy for them. We are so excited that they are taking this next step,” Kylie shared of Travis and Taylor’s engagement in September 2025 in a Not Gonna Lie Episode.
“The girls are so excited to get another aunt,” she continued, referring to the daughters. “I am so truly happy for them, and I feel so grateful that we get to welcome Taylor into our family in a more official capacity.”
Kylie also noted how comfortable her daughters are around both Travis and Taylor when they come to visit — a sign, she suggested, of just how naturally Swift has become part of the family fabric.
