"King Kylie" is returning to her throne in Kylie Jenner's latest Kylie Cosmetics campaign.
Singer and former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson is opening up about his experiences with fatherhood on a new podcast appearance.
Tomlinson shares parenting responsibilities for his son Freddie with his ex, Briana Jungwirth. The pair met in early 2015 and had a brief romance, which resulted in Freddie's birth in January 2016.
After discussing Tomlinson's career, his One Direction days, and his experience grieving the tragic losses of his mother, sister, and fellow bandmate Liam Payne, "Diary of a CEO" podcast host Steven Bartlett then asked Tomlinson if there was anything else he wanted to discuss during their time together.
The singer jumped at the chance to talk about his relationship with his 9-year-old son, saying, "We should talk about Freddie for a second, my little boy."
Tomlinson then admitted that fatherhood had always been a goal he had for himself, even when he was very young.
"I've always been uber excited about it, even from being a young, young lad, but also truthfully, I felt utterly confident, I just felt like I was going to be a good dad," the singer shared in the interview.
Tomlinson explained that even though he was only 24 years old when his son was born, he didn't feel like he struggled with the transition to "dad life," and that he's extremely proud of the person he's raising his son to be.
"He is just the sweetest kid, man, he's just so kind [...] honestly, I could well up thinking about it," Tomlinson continued proudly.
Bartlett then shared that he had reached out to the singer's sister, Lottie Tomlinson, for any comments ahead of her brother's appearance on the show, and the number one thing she reinforced was how wonderful a job he was doing raising Freddie.
Tomlinson went on to explain that balancing his fame and career with being a truly present parent for Freddie can certainly have its challenges. While he loves his career and usually has no issue posing for photos with fans, he tries to keep Freddie's life as normal as possible by avoiding doing photo ops when they're together.
"When I'm not at work, like, I would be more than happy [for] nobody to ever recognize me," Tomlinson said. "When I'm picking up Freddie from school, I am certainly not 'some guy who used to be in this band' and 'this singer,' not at all. I'm there like everyone else, as a father or as a mother."
