Motherhood has been one big, bold, beautiful journey for “Barbie” star Margot Robbie.
The 35-year-old actress is making her return to the big screen in Kogonada’s “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” alongside co-star Colin Farrell, who she joined on the red carpet in Beverley Hills on Aug. 20.
It’s her first movie since welcoming her first child — and her first red carpet since the baby boy’s birth.

To add to the string of firsts as a new mom, Robbie sat down with Entertainment Tonight for an interview ahead of the film’s release on Sept. 19 — where she made her first comments on motherhood.
“It’s the best,” she told ET’s Deidre Behar in the video, published Aug. 21.

"It's funny, you try to explain to someone who has kids, you don’t need to because they get it," Robbie added. "And if they don’t, it’s probably just really boring to hear."
As for the late nights, the constant crying and spit-ups, Robbie quipped: “I love it.”
Farrell, who shares sons James Padraig, 21, and Henry Tadeusz, 15, with two previous partners, per People, said he misses all those “small parts” of parenthood that he doesn’t get with his sons anymore.
“It’s meant everything to me," Farrell said in the joint interview. "They are the most important facet of my life and have been since they came into being."
Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley became parents in October
Robbie’s comments on motherhood come 10 months after the “I, Tonya” actress welcomed her first child with husband Tom Ackerley, whom she has been married to since December 2016, per Harper’s Bazaar.
The couple first met in 2013 and went public with their relationship the following year, per the outlet.
Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley shocked everyone in July 2024 when they confirmed their pregnancy while on a date night. The pregnancy was later confirmed by People.
Their baby boy was born on Oct. 17, according to the Daily Mail, but his name has yet to be revealed.
The couple have kept their new lives as parents private, but Robbie did give her boy a silent shout out in April during a trip to the Gold Coast in her native Australia.
According to E! News, the actress was wearing a gold necklace bearing the word "mama” while at the beach.
In November, a source close to the couple gave People insight into the couple’s new role as parents.
"They waited a long time to get pregnant, so it was almost unbelievable when the baby actually arrived," the insider said at the time. "They’ve both been settling into being parents."

"They’re homebodies so it’s been lovely to spend the time just them, at home with him," the source continued, adding that “they’re so happy” with the arrival of their baby boy.
