"[It's] about to happen..."
Mariah Carey is all for embarrassing her teenage kids — no matter how much they hate it.
On April 21, the 56-year-old “We Belong Together” singer took to Instagram to share a series of photos documenting this year’s “Easter hijinks” with her 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
In the photos, the family takes a picture with the Easter Bunny while holding empty Easter baskets. The kids are also seen sifting through their much-larger filled baskets that were hidden in the house.

“The greatest gift of being a mom is getting your teenage kids to participate in your Easter hijinks!” Carey wrote in the caption.
It didn’t take long for her teenage son and daughter to voice their displeasure with the photos.
“OMG DELETE IT,” Monroe wrote in a comment.
“Why do you do this to me mom,” Moroccan, also known as Rocky, added in a comment of his own.
Despite the kids’ embarrassment, plenty of parents took to the comment section to discuss just how relatable Carey’s “hijinks” — and her twins’ reaction — are.
“It’s good to know that even the richest children act just like mine. I got yelled at for adding a picture from Easter also,” one mother wrote under an Entertainment Tonight post sharing Carey’s photos.
“I love it!! It shows how we are all still just normal everyday ppl and moms! Lol and kids will be kids no matter what lol,” another fan wrote.
Carey has made a habit out of embarrassing her children

Carey’s embarrassing Easter photo comes just a few weeks after she surprised her son on Twitch.
On April 3, Moroccan was streaming on the popular Twitch platform while playing video games with his friends when his mom and sister crashed the party.
After a brief conversation off-camera, Moroccan returned to the screen and apologized to his friends.
“Sorry chat, my mom is here,” he says into the microphone before inviting his mom on camera.
Carey then popped her head into the frame, but it didn’t last long before the embarrassment kicked in.
"Okay, y'all need to get out now. Just, everybody get out," Moroccan said. "Mom, they can see you. They're saying, 'Hi Mariah, I love you!' Oh my God."
Carey then greets his friends and says, “I love you too” before Moroccan, yet again, requests his mom and sister to leave the room.
"Can y'all please get out, please? Love you. Get out of my room!" he said on camera.
Carey became a mom of two on April 11, 2011 when she welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe with her then-husband Nick Cannon. The former couple were married for six years between 2008 and 2014.
