Savannah said that she was “literally dumbfounded to see the accusations like that were being made.”
Meghan Markle is excited about the opportunity to share her more authentic self with her fans.
On Tuesday, June 17, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is joining host of the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast for a discussion around being authentic.
In a video shared exclusively with People, Meghan is heard talking about her “Baby Mama Dance” with Grede, who is a founding partner and chief product officer of SKIMS and the CEO and co-founder of Good American.
As Grede talked about authenticity being a crucial part of being successful, Meghan agreed. "You have to be authentic," Markle said, adding “Did you see my 'Baby Mama Dance'?"
“I mean, stop it,” Grede replied, as she sat down her note cards. “Can I just tell you the timing of that…we maybe watched it like 20 times yesterday.”
“I was like, ’Is that, is that her? Is that Prince Harry there with the fingers? I was like, ‘Ok, good on Harry, let's go,’” Grede continued, as Markle chuckled. “But that's you, right? Like that's you in a way that we kind of haven't been able to see you before."
Grede continued, saying, “I did like a little secret cheer, cause I was like, that's what I kind of want to see from you. Like I wanna see that happiness and that honesty and that ‘I don't give a [care]’ kind of thing.”
Markle added that she hopes the video will point out that despite all the outside chatter, people are still living authentic and happy lives away from it all.
"That was four years ago," she says. "So it's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's still a whole life, a real, authentic, fun life, that's happening behind the scenes."
“I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it,” Markle revealed, “on my own terms.”
Markle first shared the “Baby Mama Dance” video on her Instagram while celebrating her and Prince Harry’s daughter’s 4th birthday.
The video was taken just moments before Lilibet Diana was born in June 2021.
It showed off both Markle and Harry’s playful sides as they danced to the once popular “Baby Mama” song.
“Four years ago today, this also happened,” Markle captioned the video. “Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do!”
Two days after celebrating Lilibet’s 4th birthday on the 4th of June, Markle shared videos and photos of their family’s time in Disneyland. “Thank you, Disneyland, for giving our family two days of pure joy.”
