Peppa Pig has a new baby sister!
The anthropomorphic pig, who stars in the long-running British animated TV series “Peppa Pig,” is already a big sister to her little brother George, but her family is once again growing by one.
The exciting news was first revealed on the British talk show “Good Morning Britain” on May 20.

“Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig are over the moon to introduce their brand new little piglet... welcome to the world, Evie!” the talk show wrote in the caption of a TikTok post.
The baby piglet’s name was inspired by Mummy Pig’s aunt, also named Evie.

Evie was born at 5:34 a.m. at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, the same hospital where Kate Middleton gave birth to her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The announcement continued in a unique way on Peppa Pig’s official Instagram page.
“Lend me your ears for news of the birth of a daughter to Mummy and Daddy Pig. Peppa and George have a baby sister!,” a towncrier (dressed for the occasion) shouts in the video. "Long live Evie Pig!"
The news comes nearly three months after Mummy Pig revealed that she was expecting a baby during a February appearance on Kylie Kelcie’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.
The baby pig’s gender was revealed in April.
The pregnancy (and now birth) has made global headlines as the first major character shakeup since the show, produced by Hasbro Entertainment, made its debut on May 31, 2004.
Evie will make her first on-screen appearance in “Peppa Meets the Baby Cinema Experience,” which will feature 10 “oinktastic” new episodes and 6 brand new songs and music videos.
The hour-long event will premiere in theatres on Friday, May 30, per AMC.
Baby Evie is ‘curious and excitable’ like her big sister Peppa Pig
In an interview with People, published May 20, Mummy Pig shares her excitement over the new baby.
"It's been an adventure already!” Mummy Pig said. "They're already quite the little trio! Just like Peppa, Evie loves music — no matter what is playing, she'll jiggle and giggle along."
“She's just as curious and excitable as Peppa, and as playful and funny as George," she adds.
Mummy Pig says she feels “fantastic” and is “thrilled” to have a happy and healthy baby at home.
“I won't say it was an easy birth, because I'm not sure such a thing exists — oink! But it was all worth it once she was snug and safe in my arms, and the family got to meet her properly,” she added.
As for the name, Mummy Pig says Evie was the “perfect fit,” though it took a while to settle on it.
“It was the name of my Great Aunt, and our little one's eyes just lit up when we first suggested it, like she knew it was her name already,” she explained to People.
Mummy Pig also gave a big shoutout to her village for supporting her throughout the process.
“Well yes, it's definitely more to juggle! More chaos, more laughs, more nappies and more...everything!” she told People.

“But we are so lucky to have a wonderful network of family and friends to help us," she added.
