Prison sentences and pardon announcement: Todd and Julie Chrisley have been serving prison time since January 2023 for bank fraud and tax evasion (12 years and 7 years respectively), but President Trump personally called their daughter Savannah on May 27 to inform her he was signing full pardons for both parents.

Personal presidential involvement: Trump called Savannah directly while she was at Sam's Club, telling her "Your parents are going to be free and clean" and that he hoped to complete the process by the next day, with a separate video showing him speaking to both Savannah and her brother Grayson from the Oval Office.

Emotional family reaction: Savannah expressed overwhelming gratitude and disbelief, saying she "shed so many tears" and was "freaking out" that the President called personally, while preparing to pick up her parents who would be able to "start their lives over."

After being found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion, Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley began serving time in prison in January 2023.

Todd was sentenced to 12 years and Julie was sentenced to seven years.

However, in a video shared on Instagram on May 27, their daughter Savannah Chrisley says the President of the United States personally called her to tell her he was signing the necessary papers to grant both Todd and Julie a full pardon.

“Oh, my goodness, okay, y'all, I tried to do an Instagram Live earlier, and I was driving, trying to get home to get my life together. And we are freaking out over here. I have shed so many tears. The President called me personally as I was walking into Sam's Club and notified me that he was signing paper pardon paperwork for both of my parents,” she said in the video.

“So both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow,” she continued, “and I still don't believe it's real,” Savannah added, noting that she was “freaking out” that Trump called her personally.

“I will forever be grateful for President Trump, his administration, and everyone along the way, all of my lawyers, the people who put in countless hours and effort and love for my family to make sure that my parents got home. I am eternally grateful,” Savannah continued.

A separate Instagram video shared to her Story showed Trump sitting in the Oval Office talking with Savannah and her brother Grayson sharing the news.

“Your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump tells Savannah over the phone, “and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. We'll try getting it done tomorrow. So give them, I don't know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life.”

As Savannah continued in her own video, she noted that “it still doesn't feel real.”

“It doesn’t… I'm freaking out, so I'm gonna go and prepare to go pick up my parents, and I just can't thank you guys enough. They're coming…my parents get to start their lives over.”
