Hilary Duff can't picture Lizzie at 40 — but she did share the age that might finally bring her back.
Alongside pictures of her time in New York City, Bindi Irwin is sharing an update on how she’s doing following emergency surgery.
Earlier this month, Bindi Irwin had her “appendix removed. I also had 14 new endometriosis lesions that had to be removed, and they kindly stitched up my hernia as well," she shared.
Now, on Sunday, May 25, Bindi Irwin said she’s “healing.”
“Thank you for your incredible words of support and kindness,” she wrote. “The reason I share my health journey is because more girls and women desperately need answers to their undiagnosed pain. I’ve battled with endometriosis for more than 12 years.”
Bindi Irwin went on to call endometriosis “crippling and can make you feel incredibly isolated. We need to raise awareness and change the narrative for women’s health. I see you, your pain is real, and you deserve answers and genuine health care.”
Her update comes after she shared a video from her hospital bed after undergoing multiple procedures.

“I am forever grateful to Dr. Seckin and the entire team at Lennox Hill Hospital. Thank you guys for your kind words for your support. I'm sorry if I'm a little out of it in this video, but I just wanted you to know that I'm on the road to recovery one step at a time,” Bindi continued, adding how lucky she is “to have so much love in my life from my beautiful family.”
In the caption, Bindi Irwin said the surgeries were a longtime coming.
According to Mayo Clinic, endometriosis “is an often-painful condition in which tissue that is similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. It often affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining the pelvis. Rarely, endometriosis growths may be found beyond the area where pelvic organs are located.”
In public support of his sister’s health journey, Robert Irwin also took to Instagram to share words of encouragement.
Alongside a photo of himself and Bindi Irwin, he wrote, “Happy to see you on the up and up, Bindi. You face every hurdle head on, take it in your stride and inspire us.”
Their mom, Terri Irwin took to the comment section to praise both of her children. “We’re a good team!”
