“How did that even come to bros mind so fast.”
Charlie Sheen’s daughter is sharing what it was like growing up with the whole world watching.
Sami Sheen, the older of Charlie Sheen’s two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards, discussed her views on nepotism — both the good and bad — during a recent appearance on “Sorry We’re Cyrus.”
The podcast episode, hosted by Tish Cyrus and her daughter Brandi Cyrus, was released Sept. 18.
More than halfway through the interview, Sami Sheen was asked to describe the best — and worst part — about growing up in a famous family.
The 21-year-old influencer and content creator shared a candid and honest response.
“I would say the best part would be all the little perks and stuff,” she told the mother-daughter duo in a video shared on the podcast’s official YouTube page.
“I hate even saying that, but it’s true,” she explained. “If I had a favorite artist I wanted to see in concert, we were able to get tickets so easily.”
As for the worst part, Sami Sheen alluded to the lack of privacy and “being born into the public eye.”
She recalled the many times paparazzi would show up at her family’s front door and how she was often referred to as “Charlie’s daughter,” as opposed to her real name.

Tish Cyrus, who shares five children (including actress-singer Miley Cyrus) with her ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus, per People, agreed — adding that she was often referred to as “Billy Ray’s wife” or “Miley’s mom.”
“It made it really hard for me until I started playing into it and kind of owning the fact that I’m a nepo baby,” Sami Sheen continued.
“I’ve kind of just taken it — or used it to my advantage — to be like, ‘Okay, yeah these are my parents, but look, like I’m really cool and I make videos now,” she added.
According to Merriam-Webster, nepotism is defined as “favoritism based on kinship.”
A “nepo baby” is further defined as “a person who gains success or opportunities through familial connections” — especially “a child of a famous parent,” per the dictionary.
Sami Sheen said she’s now starting to ‘make a name for myself’
Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards met in 2000 and went on their first date in 2001, according to People.
The former couple got engaged later that year and tied the knot in 2002 before announcing their first pregnancy in September 2003, per the outlet.
Their first daughter, Sami, was born on March 9, 2004, followed by their second daughter, Lola, in June 2005.
While growing up in the public eye was “hard” on Sami Sheen, she admitted that it helped in some ways.

“I think it’s honestly really helped me get more eyes on me where people can see that I’m growing into my own person,” she said on the Sept. 18 podcast.
“I now feel like I’m making a name for myself,” she added.
Sami Sheen has appeared in a few of her famous parents’ projects, including a 2004 episode of “Two and a Half Men” with her dad and the 2008 reality series “Denise Richards: It's Complicated” with her mom.
The influencer dropped out of high school in 2021 and moved into her own place in 2023, per People.
