Savannah Chrisley shares first picture of dad Todd. ‘To the paparazzi following us…here’

Sara Vallone05/30/25

One day after Savannah Chrisley revealed President Donald Trump had intentions of signing a pardon on her parents’ behalf, Todd and Julie Chrisley are now free.

Since their release on May 28, Savannah Chrisley has been teaching her social media followers with videos of Todd Chrisley’s voice and images of him and Julie Chrisley reuniting while never showing their faces.

Now that has changed.

On May 29, Savannah Chrisley took to Instagram to share the first photo of Todd post release from prison.

The photos showed Savannah Chrisley standing next to Todd who was wearing dark sunglasses and a black hat.

“To the paparazzi following us looking to pay your bills… here’s your photo,” Savannah Chrisley captioned the photos.

She later shared a video showing Todd Chrisley walking around a store with a bag over his head in order to avoid having his picture taken by the reported paparazzi waiting nearby.

“WE ARE BACK,” Savannah Chrisley captioned video.

The father-daughter pair said they needed to hit a story to get him something to wear for an upcoming press conference. Julie Chrisley remained at home in “hiding” with Todd Chrisley saying his wife is “smarter than I am.”

Both Todd and Julie Chrisley served roughly two and a half years of their respective sentences after being found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022.

They reported to prison in January 2023 after Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years and Julie was sentenced to seven years.

In a new interview with People, Savannah Chrisley said, “Oh my gosh, it has been amazing” having her parents home. “It's still just kind of ... it doesn't feel real.”

”We were going to bed last night. We're like, 'Is this real?' And then, I wake up this morning and my mom's walking into my bedroom and I'm like, it's absolutely insane,” Savannah Chrisley continued.

"We are just so grateful and ready to kind of start getting back to normal life, obviously, the best we can," she continues. "Everything's a whirlwind right now, and it's kind hard to live a normal life with how things are right now, but we'll get there,” she said, adding that she does know her parents are “doing great."

"It's obviously an adjustment. ... I think they're kind of just in shock right now," she told People. "It's just a big adjustment when you're in prison for two and a half years, and then you go back to so-called normal life. I can't imagine."

"I just think it's a lot for them, but they're enjoying it. We're all spending time together," Savannah Chrisley continued. "And obviously, when they're ready to talk about their feelings and emotions, I know that they will articulate it well, like they always do."
