“One of them was like, ‘do you know my dad?’”
One month after former “The Bachelor” star Sean Lowe was attacked by their family dog, he and his wife, Catherine Lowe, are sharing an update.
On March 17, the pair took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking story of what happened to Sean and their dog, Moose.
As Sean explained, he was entertaining guests, barbecuing outside when some of the smoke from the grill set off one of their in-home smoke detectors.
While attempting to fan the smoke away from the alarm, their adopted dog began attacking Sean.
The couple and their four kids had adopted Moose just three months earlier.
“We've only had him for a little under three months, but like he's my dog,” Sean said at the time. “I walk him. If I run errands, he goes in the truck with me when I get out of my chair. My kids don't like it because he follows me. He doesn't follow them like it's my dog. All he's ever wanted was affection. Earlier that day, I had a video of him just putting his head in my lap while I'm working upstairs.”
Sean was left with multiple wounds, many of which needed stitches, as a result of the attack.

As the former reality television star shared his story, Catherine sat next to him in tears listening to her husband relive the experience.
Now, the pair is sharing an update.
In a much shorter Instagram video shared with their fans on April 17, Sean and Catherine said that they were ready to move on from the ordeal and get back to their normal lives.
“Hey everybody,” Sean began as he and Catherine sat on the stairs of their home. “Once again, thank you so much to everyone who sent us really nice DMS. We appreciate it more than you know.”
“But if it's okay with you, I think we would like to get back to doing what we do best, and that is really just making fun of our kids, and creating really dumb content,” Sean continued as Catherine added, “and having fun.”
“So yeah, we're gonna get back to that, if that's okay with everybody. All right, we'll see you soon,” they concluded the quick note.
In a note shared on his Instagram story on April 15, Sean told his fans that he’s “doing great. A lot of you have asked how I’m doing. I’m doing great. I’m healing, my scars aren’t as bad as I thought they would be.”
He continued saying one of his son’s, 6-year-old Isaiah, likes to kiss one of the scars.
The couple noted last month that their dog was removed from the home by the adoption agency that they used to find Moose, adding that they were working together to figure out what is best for him.
“I don’t blame Moose a bit,” Sean said.
