“Last week, my stepson/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went home to be with God.”
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas having shared custody of their kids doesn’t make her an absentee parent.
The 29-year-old “Game of Thrones” alum shares two daughters — Willa, born in 2020, and Delphine, born in 2022 — with the Jonas Brothers singer, who filed for divorce in 2023, according to People.
On Aug. 4, Turner took to Instagram to share a series of photos and videos from a recent Oasis concert she attended with friends.

And one Instagram user took to the comment section to accuse her of being an absentee parent.
“Lmfao I think she has forgotten that she has two kids,” the user wrote under the post.
Turner wasted no time in issuing a response — which was posted a few hours after the comment was made.
“Ah, I’m so sorry sometimes I forget some people can’t think for themselves,” she wrote in a comment of her own.
“So…. Get this….There’s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day,” she added.
Turner’s fans were just as quick to share their support for Turner as a mom of two.
“Babe…she’s (allowed) to go out,” one fan wrote in a comment.
“If you hate her, then why are you on her Instagram page? Why bother to make that effort?” another fan wrote.
Turner and Jonas are both committed to putting their kids first
Turner’s post comes two years after her split from Jonas and one year after they finalized their divorce in September, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The divorce proceedings included a tense custody battle that saw Turner sue Jonas for keeping their two daughters in the United States after requesting that they be returned to England.
The couple reached a temporary custody agreement in October 2023 before finalizing the divorce.
In May 2024, Turner told “British Vogue” that she was “unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children.”
"They're the victims in all of this. But I think we're doing the best we can. I'm confident that we can figure it out. Joe is a great father to our children and that's all that I can ask for,” she added.
In a May interview with Jay Shetty during “Jay’s On Purpose Live Tour,” Jonas sent all the praise back to his ex-wife.
“I have a beautiful coparenting relationship that I'm really grateful for,” he told Shetty, per E! News. “Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true.”
He went on to stress the importance of his daughters having a “great woman” to look up to.

“I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence and know that they can do literally anything they want,” Jonas added.
