At 12:12 AM on August 12, Taylor Swift announced her 12th studio album, revealing her fans weren’t left feeling like clowns.
The theories that Taylor Swift was preparing to drop her 12th album began the morning on August 11 when Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” dropped teaser photo for their newest episode set to premiere on August 13 at 7 PM.
The photo featured Travis looking over at someone while smiling as Jason looked into the camera while wearing a Taylor Swift shirt and an excited look on his face. In the middle of the two brothers is a blackout outline of someone else.
Many fans theorized at the time that the outline was “Taylor Swift shaped.”
And their theories would be proven correct when “New Heights” posted a second time on August 11. This time a video revealing a cute interaction between Travis and Taylor while filming the “VERY special” episode.
“That’s such a nice color on you,” Taylor says to Travis, who is wearing a baby blue sweatshirt. “I know. It’s the color of your eyes, Sweetie. It’s why we match,” Travis responds.
Around the same time that video was posted, Taylor posted a countdown on her website that would expire on August 12 at 12:12 AM.
It was then that New Heights posted yet another teaser from the upcoming podcast episode where Taylor pulls out a brief case marked TS. Taylor then opens the brief case revealing a blurred out record.
“This is my brand new album, “The Life Of A Showgirl.”
Jason screamed with excitement at the announcement as Travis declares “TS 12!”
