“I had no idea obviously — no one could — of the longevity of its life."
Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of The View, has announced she is pregnant with her and her husband Justin Griffin's first baby.
The couple has confirmed that the baby will be a boy and that she is due in February 2026.
This joyful announcement comes after the couple spent two years struggling to conceive, during which Alyssa was diagnosed with endometriosis, meaning it would be more difficult for her to get pregnant.
The Griffins eventually conceived their child after five rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF).

"It's starting to feel very real. This past week, I felt the baby kick for the first time, and immediately I grabbed Justin's hand and he felt and I was like, 'Oh my gosh, what's happening?!' It was magical," Alyssa shared in an exclusive with PEOPLE.
Their IVF journey was certainly not an easy one. Going through five rounds put a lot of physical and mental stress on Alyssa, but Justin was always there for her.
"First and foremost, I have the best partner in the world," Alyssa continued in the PEOPLE interview. "Like they say, marry your best friend, and Justin is mine [...] My husband, he was there for me throughout it all, by my side at the doctor's, right there with me."
Justin reinforced that seeing his wife go through something so challenging for the sake of their family only inspired him.
"There's so many things that attract me to Alyssa, but one of the things is her determination," Justin shared with PEOPLE. "Going into IVF, there was so much of that determination that came through. From the first round to the last, she was always like, 'Oh no, I've got this. There's going to be nothing that can get in my way. I'm tough. I know how to do this.' "
Excited to share the news with her online followers as well, Alyssa shared a video to Instagram using the popular sound from the movie Wicked saying "Everyone, I have an announcement!"
Alyssa then turned to the side to show off her baby bump, and Justin leaned into the frame of the video to give her a kiss.
Fans flooded her comments with congratulatory remarks. "Alyssa, I'm so happy for you and your husband, sending you lots of prayers and blessings to your family," one fan commented on the post.
The official Instagram account for The View also congratulated the couple with a post captioned "We can't wait to meet baby boy Griffin! Congratulations, @alyssafarah and Justin!"
