“I wanted to plan something really, really special for our first kiss."
On Wednesday, May 7, Tish Cyrus Purcell took to Instagram to tease the guest of her latest podcast episode.
Tish and her oldest daughter Brandi Cyrus host the podcast, “Sorry We’re Cyrus.” The couple talked with musician Gavin Rossdale for their May 8 episode.
In the comment section alongside the video of Tish, Brandi, and Rossdale dancing, a fan asked Tish why she made the decision to “stop following Miley (Cyrus)?”

Tish’s answer was simple and to the point. “I didn’t,” the mom of six responded to the comment. “I don’t know what happened lol.”
Tish then rectified the social media glitch and re-followed Miley.
While rumors of feuds have been surrounding the Cyrus family lately, Tish’s quick response seems to be reason enough to assume there is no bad blood between the mother-daughter duo.
In fact, in June 2024, while a guest of David Letterman’s “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Miley called Tish her “hero.”
“Honestly, my mom is my hero,” Cyrus told Letterman while talking about her parents, which includes country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus.

Although Miley’s relationship with her dad seems to have had its ups and downs, in the same interview with Letterman, she added that she’s grateful “for being able to watch him ahead of me. He’s almost given me this map. There is a map of what to do and what not to do. And he’s guided me on both.”
However, Miley said she believes she “inherited the narcissism from my father. … I don’t know anything about my own siblings except for the part that I was doing. ... I was moving to L.A., and that’s all I really knew.”
“Without my dad, I know … who I am as a person wouldn’t exist. Because my dad as a creative and like, as an artist, and the way his brain works has always made me feel safer in my own mind,” Miley continued, but said ultimately it was Tish who raised her.
