"What happened to common decency about security and a personal life?"
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have finalized their divorce.
According to People, a judgment of divorce was filed in New York’s Suffolk County Supreme Court on June 12 and the case status is now listed as “disposed,” meaning it’s no longer active, as of June 23.
The former couple share two adopted children — son Oscar Maximilian, 24, and daughter Ava Eliot, 19.

Jackman and Furness tied the knot in 1996 and were married for 27 years until their split in September 2023, which was reportedly “not a snap decision” and “very hard” on the pair, per People.
"We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the pair wrote in an exclusive statement shared by People at the time of their split.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they added. “We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.”
Furness officially filed for divorce on May 23.
At the time, Furness shared a cryptic statement that alluded to “betrayal” and “hurt.”
“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she wrote, according to The Daily Mail. “It’s a profound wound that cuts deep.”
Furness went on to clarify that “none of this is personal” and added that she will “remain grateful.”
“We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons,” she continued, “and to recognize and heal the broken parts of ourselves.”
Jackman has since moved on with girlfriend Sutton Foster
The couple’s divorce comes more than five months after Jackman hard-launched his new relationship.
The “Wolverine” actor was spotted holding hands with actress Sutton Foster after a “low-key, laughter-filled” dinner date in Santa Monica, California on Jan. 6, per People.
Foster, who was previously married to Ted Griffin for 10 years, filed for divorce in October.
The couple debuted their romance nearly two years after they co-starred in the Broadway revival of “Music Man,” which ran from February 2022 to January 2023, according to Fox News.
Jackman played conman Harold Hill in the musical, while Foster played his love interest.
The performances earned Jackman and Foster Tony Award nominations for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Perfomance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, respectively.
The pair even performed a number from the musical at the 2022 Tony Awards ceremony.

But even that wasn’t the first dance they shared at the award ceremony.
The couple, who first met backstage at a “Shrek: The Musical” performance in 2008, also shared a dance at the 2014 Tony Awards after introducing the category for best performance by a leading actress.
Foster was one of the women nominated for the award for her role in “Violet.”
