Macklemore’s home was broken into recently — and his three kids were inside when it happened.
The 41-year-old rapper, born Ben Haggerty, shares three children — daughters Colette Koala, 3, and Sloane Ava Simone, 6, and son Hugo Jack, 3 — with his wife of 10 years, Tricia Davis.
On June 7, the couple’s home on Seattle’s Capitol Hill was reportedly targeted in a home invasion.

According to People, the Seattle Police Department responded to a woman’s 911 call after two men had broken into a home and doused her with pepper spray before stealing “thousands of dollars” worth of items.
The 911 caller was later identified as a nanny who was caring for the homeowner’s kids.
The owner’s name was redacted in the police report, but the Seattle Times later matched the address in the report to the address listed on Macklemore’s voting record.
People also reported that one of the last names on the police report, Davis, matched the last name of Macklemore’s wife — though it’s unclear if the couple were home at the time.
TMZ later reported that Macklemore was in Ireland at the time of the break-in.
According to the police report, the nanny had allegedly just put the kids to bed when she saw two men entering a patio door that’s usually locked.
“One of the suspects pepper sprayed the victim and held her to the ground while they ransacked the residence stealing thousands of dollars of items,” one police report said, per the SPD Blotter.
After biting one of the men who had his hand over her mouth, the nanny rushed out of the home (with the kids still inside) and knocked on several neighbors’ doors until someone answered.
TMZ shared doorbell footage of the nanny knocking on one of the neighbor’s homes in an obvious state of panic. “Help, please!” she said, visibly and audibly out of breath.
She eventually called the police and reported the break-in once inside one of the neighbors’ homes.
According to the Seattle Times, the two men were later seen on video fleeing the house, but no arrests have been made in the days since.
When police arrived on the scene, they confirmed that the home showed “obvious signs of disarray” before safely extracting the three kids from their bedrooms.
The children — none of whom were injured — were put in the custody of family members, who were quick to respond to the scene, per People.
The burglary comes just a few days after several Seattle-based athletes — including former NFL player Richard Sherman and active MLB player Julio Rodriguez — saw their homes targeted in similar attacks.

According to the Associated Press, police arrested and charged Earl Henderson Riley IV, 21, with several counts of residential burglary related to the break-ins in connection to those two break-ins.
