It wasn’t part of the script, but it made for a “priceless” memory.
On July 28, an engaged couple took to Instagram to share their hilarious proposal video that didn’t quite go as planned — but now they’re making the most of it.
In the video, content creators Kevin Arrieta and Natali Melani were enjoying a trip in Santorini, Greece when he got down on one knee with a ring in his hand.

Melani was clearly excited for the moment and started to nod her head up and down before a mystery woman walked into the frame.
The woman unknowingly completely blocked the proposal from view, before her husband also entered the frame with a candy bar in his hand.
“Our dream Santorini proposal accidentally turned into a candy bar ad,” the couple wrote in the caption. “You couldn’t script something this unexpectedly hilarious.”
In a text over the video, the couple joked that it was a 10/10 proposal with 0/10 timing — but the memory was “priceless.”
Instagram users took to the comment section to share their hilarious reactions to the proposal gone wrong.
“Situational awareness of garlic bread,” one user wrote.
“Plot twist: it’s them from the future visiting the same place,” another user joked.
Corny Deutschland, a protein bar company, according to its official website, commented on the post and pointed out that the candy bar looked a lot like their “corny big schoko” bar.
“Happy we are part of your special moment tho,” the company added.
The race is on to find mystery couple from ‘Santorini proposal’ video
The Miami couple re-enacted the hilarious moment in an interview with WPLG Local10, where they acted as the mystery couple eating a Snicker’s bar.
During the interview, Melani said they took a moment to kiss, hug and giggle after she said “Yes!” But when they turned to look at the camera, they saw the older couple standing in their way.
“The joke was on us because we were not alone,” she added.
Melani went on to say that they never intended on releasing the video and wanted to keep it as a private memory to themselves. But it was just too good not to share.
“You can’t direct that any better. You can’t script that,” Arietta told WPLG.
The couple later admitted that Arietta had proposed several days prior and hired a professional photographer to take photos of the moment.
When the footage didn’t arrive in time, they decided to do a second take before leaving Santorini.
“We hope people find it as funny as we do because that’s part of our relationship,” Melani said.
Since the couple haven’t had their wedding yet, they’re now calling on social media to help them find the mystery couple so they can invite them when that day comes.
"We're hoping all the spies in the comments can help us find this couple," Melani said in a separate interview with “Good Morning America” on July 30.
