In a statement shared with Variety, the Reiner family has issued their first statement since Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner’s deaths.
Hollywood legend Rob Reiner was found dead in his Los Angeles home, alongside his wife of 36 years, Michele Singer Reiner.
NBC Los Angeles first reported that two people were found deceased in the Brentwood mansion that was owned by the actor and director around 3:30 p.m.
“At this time, no further details are available as this is an ongoing RHD investigation, into an apparent homicide," a statement shared by the Los Angeles Police Department at the time read, according to NBC4.

It was later reported that the victims were stabbed to death, senior law enforcement sources told ABC News.
According to ABC7, in addition to the home Rob and Michele were discovered in, the When Harry Met Sally actor also reportedly owned the house across the street. His daughter reportedly lives in the home across the street with children.
Rob and Michele married in 1989 and have three children together, Jake, Nick and Romy. Before Michele, Rob was married to Penny Marshall. Rob adopted Marshall’s daughter, Tracey Reiner.
Suspects responsible for the crime nor a motive have not yet been shared publicly.
