“They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing.”
Joe Jonas is learning what it means to fall in love again.
The 35-year-old Jonas Brothers singer filed for divorce from his ex-wife, actress Sophia Turner, in September 2023 after four years of marriage. The divorce was finalized one year later, per People.
On May 23, the singer released his newest solo album, “Music for People Who Believe in Love.”

Two days before the album’s official release, Jonas opened up about what fans can expect from his new music in an interview on Facebook’s “TalkShopLive.”
As he reveals in the interview, one of his new songs was inspired by a recent dating experience.
“We worked on a song called ‘Only Love’ and I was seeing somebody at the time and I was kind of having this idea of dating again,” Jonas said to host Tanya Rad.
“It was really scary and intimidating and love takes different shapes and forms,” he added of his post-divorce life. “I was rediscovering what that was.”
As scary as it was, this mystery woman that he was seeing helped give him a new perspective on love.
“This person kinda comically, sarcastically was like, ‘Well, it’s only love,’” Jonas recalls. “So, we wrote a song about it.”
While he admits that love is a big deal to him, he told Rad that he’s now learning that it’s “OK to take a leap of faith and just try again and put yourself out there.”
“Only Love” is the fourth track on Jonas’s new album. The credits list Jonas, Tranter, Beau Nox and Alexander 23 (also a producer) as writers of the song, per Genius.
In the chorus, Jonas sings: “Sure, your heart has been broke before / That don't mean that you close the door / She said, ‘Boy, it's only love, love, love.’”
Jonas intentionally left his two brothers off the track

“Music for People Who Believe in Love” is Jonas’s first solo project in more than a decade.
It’s also his first album release since his divorce from Turner and will be followed by the Jonas Brothers’ seventh studio album, “Greetings from Your Hometown,” set to be released August 8.
But don’t expect to hear either of his two brothers-turned-band mates on his solo album.
While talking about the song “Only Love,” Joe Jonas explained to Rad why some of the tracks were too personal and specific to share with his brothers, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.

“I keep seeing my own life when I hear it,” Joe Jonas recalled telling his brothers. “And I’m seeing that person that I’m seeing. I just don’t know if I want to change any of the lyrics to what you’re going through.”
That’s not to say all of his brothers were left off the album.
The trio’s youngest brother, Franklin Jonas, is featured as a singer on “Velvet Sunshine,” the eighth track on Joe Jonas’s new album.
And Joe Jonas made sure to receive the green light from all of his brothers before releasing the album.
“I asked my brothers’ blessings, and I was like, hey, I wanna go work on — I don’t wanna call it solo, but I want to go do something on my own,” he said in a July interview on Jake Shane’s “Therapuss” podcast.
“I need to go just express some stuff for myself,” he continued, “and they’re like, ‘Go for it.’”
